The Role:

ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview:
The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner provides advanced clinical support to the ICU team during night shifts. Serving as a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the NP functions as a physician extender, acting as the first point of contact for ICU admissions, collaborating with bedside nurses and respiratory therapists, and managing urgent patient care needs in real time. This position helps maintain continuity of care and improves responsiveness in the ICU overnight hours, covering a diverse patient population including those with respiratory failure, cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical conditions, sepsis, renal failure, neurologic emergencies, and other critical illnesses.
