Job Description

Position: Material Handling Agent

The Material Handling Agent is responsible for processing, verifying, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy using warehouse management software. Key duties include loading and unloading freight, conducting cycle counts, labeling shipments, and ensuring compliance with safety and reporting procedures.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Process all aspects of materials using warehouse inventory software

  • Label and ship orders according to established procedures for each customer

  • Accurately pick and weigh all shipments

  • Inspect freight and follow appropriate reporting procedures

  • Assist with inventory and cycle counts

  • Rotate and re-stock shelves according to inventory procedures

  • Verify all inbound and outbound materials

  • Provide prompt and accurate customer service

  • Arrange and maintain filing and recording systems

  • Document monthly activities for period end reporting

  • Safely load and unload trailers by utilizing equipment such as hand trucks/pallet jacks and forklifts

  • Shrink wrap freight pallets

  • Maintain a clean and save working environment

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience of general warehouse knowledge

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Warehouse Oracle Database Experience is a plus

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds

  • Forklift Certification preferred

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers

Job Title/High Level Position Summary :

Utilizing a developing to full understanding of Company systems, practices, procedures, and demonstrating a proficient ability at most to all the required skill sets, this position performs a variety of moderate physical and administrative tasks that are involved with the distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Under general supervision and with limited independent discretion, duties may include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities :

  • Unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods.
  • Rejecting unsatisfactory, damaged, or defected items.
  • Lifting or moving heavy items
  • Operating equipment to move or expedite material to proper department or storage location.
  • Store material in their designated locations after been received in the system.
  • Examining stocks and distributing materials and supplies in inventory to manufacturing lines.
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity, research inventory discrepancies.
  • Preparing goods for final shipment and maintaining records of shipped merchandise.

Material Handler Job Details:

  • Label incoming and outgoing products by matching names and numbers on labels to certain cartons.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
  • Standing on your feet for 8-10 hours a day building displays for toys.
  • The candidate selected must have basic math skills and be able to lift up to 15 pounds frequently.

Our Fort Worth facility has an opportunity for an experienced Material Handler in our Label production department. In this position, you would contribute to the success of the company by expediting the flow of incoming & outgoing shipments in a professional process that is efficient, accurate, & in compliance with all safety processes & hazardous material requirements, as well as by facilitating the flow of materials and finished goods for label production. Who we’re looking for?

  • Deliver and stage materials, subassemblies, and hardware at workstations in accordance with production schedules and build requirements.
  • Pull components from inventory and kits based on work orders, BOMs, or verbal requests from assemblers.
  • Monitor part and hardware usage at each station and proactively replenish bins and materials to avoid disruptions in workflow.
  • Collaborate closely with sub-assembly and final assembly teams to support build priorities and respond quickly to part requests.
  • Maintain organization of point-of-use storage (shelves, bins, racks, carts) in the assembly area.
  • Identify and report low stock, missing components, or damaged parts to the Inventory Control team.
  • Assist with basic inventory tracking by logging material movements, part usage, or returns in the inventory system.
  • Participate in cycle counts and audits of stock located in or near the assembly floor.
  • Ensure materials are handled and stored safely, following proper lifting techniques and PPE guidelines.
Who are we looking for?
  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • 1 + year of experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
  • Ability to read, write & understand work orders, part numbers, labels, and basic production documentation.
  • Mathematical skills; ability to use the calculator
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand regularly & frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds as part of the essential responsibilities of the role.
