Position Overview
The HR Generalist will be a trusted partner for the People & Culture team responsible for administering benefits and providing compliance expertise to our veterinary hospitals.
Specific Responsibilities
- Hospital Integrations
- Assist with new hospital integrations including reviewing data and submitting to HRIS for import.
- Incorporate new hospitals into Paycor and manage hospital handbooks.
- Email all new team members during onboarding.
- Maintain and update integration checklist, as well as People & Culture tracker.
- Mail out compliance posters to new hospitals.
- HR Administration & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate entries & approvals of changes to the HRIS, Paycor.
- Maintain team member records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Review and respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims, providing appropriate documentation.
- Respond to HR-related inquiries from applicants, team members, and vendors.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of internal processes providing best practice recommendations.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in all areas of human resources.
- Work with HRBP and Chief People & Culture Officer to implement and maintain performance management system.

- Assist team with additional HR duties as needed.

- May assist with recruiting needs for both HQ and hospitals.
- New Hire and Onboarding Process
- Launch onboarding and background checks for all new hires.
- Review all background checks for any items that needs sign off.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist; healthcare or multi-site experience strongly preferred.

- Advanced knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms — Paycom experience a plus.

Job Title HR Generalist Job Description Summary We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team to support the New England market. The role of the HR Generalist (HRG) is to provide consultative, project-based and hands-on support to Account Leadership and team members supporting multiple clients within C&W Services. The HRG will be the first point of contact for employee matters and will regularly liaise with Corporate Centers of Excellence (COE)to deliver best in class employee experiences. As directed, HR Generalist will partner with operational leaders and HR Leadership on key talent and retention initiatives and projects relative to integration, change management and overall HR best practices, and will report to the HR Director. Job Description Responsibilities: Act as a point of contact for assigned region. Partner with People Partner and Director of People Partnering in the execution and delivery of value-added HR services, including but not limited to strategic talent management (talent reviews, development, and succession planning), performance management, DEI, compensation planning, and project management, and overall employee engagement. Work closely with business, HR leaders, and COE partners to build or integrate existing tools for leadership development and management training for key talent segments. Build strong relationships with managers and employees â“ at all levels - to provide effective HR guidance and coaching. Where applicable, partner with Talent Acquisition to develop new sources to identify and proactively build a warm bench of talent. Participate in select interviews to assess internal and external candidates for key roles. Qualifications: Must be fluent in English and Spanish. This is a hybrid position, and you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week. Bachelorâs degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources. Strong business acumen with proven results in influencing and advising managers and leaders at all levels whom are both virtual and local. Self-Starter; results oriented and motivated professional. Ability to quickly build trust and act as a trusted advisor. Ability to thrive in ambiguity â“ can navigate through a complex, multi-faceted organization with multiple stakeholders.
