INSPECTION/FEED ASSOCIATE

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The inspection/feed associate prepares and positions the product for the Scan Team. This position reports to the Scan or Big Box Scan Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect inbound products for obvious defects
  • Categorize each product as Like New, Open Box, or Damaged
  • Test electronics at a basic level to assess general condition
  • Move products to the conveyor for the scanners to process
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be available to work onsite Monday - Friday for 8 hours with a half-hour lunch break, hours to be determined by workload and General Manager
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
  • Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
  • Must be tech savvy
  • Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

Inspection Coordinator

The inspections schedule coordinator is responsible for providing communication and support services to the applicable technicians and other office staff. They will coordinate the scheduling of technicians by receiving and relaying phone calls and emails.

This position has a salary range of $24 - $26 per hour depending on experience

  • Send out, receive and file inspection reports.

Job Function

Perform administrative/recordkeeping tasks and heavy telephone interaction with landlords and residents in accordance with established Section 8/Public Housing Procedures.

E ssential Functions
  • Schedule inspection appointments for housing inspectors in accordance with established procedures for the inspections process. Respond to inquires regarding scheduling conflicts. Update inspection schedules as needed.
  • Transcribes from printed and written documents (e.g. inspections and reports). Prepares and mails notices to owners, landlords and residents regarding deficiencies resulting from inspections. Responds to requests to email information as needed.
  • Maintains daily record of inspections and reschedules inspections as needed. Ensures all annual inspections are completed according to the calendar of annual inspections schedule.
  • Performs computer input to ensure the entire inspection process is recorded accurately and timely updated in line with the daily schedules. Scan inspection books into the system and attach to the tenant record.
  • Ensures notices and inspection summaries are prepared and mailed to the appropriate individuals immediately following inspection date.
  • Proofreads and distributes completed work to appropriate personnel, ensures accuracy, proper grammatical usage, punctuation, etc. of all documents.
  • Informs supervisor immediately of transcribing problems and equipment failures.
  • Prepares completed multi-page documents for distribution (e.g. scans, copies, collates, , etc.).
  • Must clearly understand all aspects of the policies and procedures of OHA, including, OHA admissions and continued occupancy policies. Must have the ability to effectively communicate this to applicants and visitors.
  • Works interactively with all OHA departments.
Additional Responsibilities
  • May assist with special projects.
  • May work evening and weekend hours.
  • May work in other areas of the Section 8 department as directed.

Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Recommend changes to inspection types and/or frequencies based on inspection history, current findings, changes in service, modifications in corrosion rates or mechanisms, and remaining life.
  • Drive improvements in the company's fixed equipment mechanical integrity program.
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis for complex or recurring issues.
  • Evaluate new technologies and alternatives for equipment inspection.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma Required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in fixed equipment (piping, pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks), inspection/NDE, construction/QC, and/or maintenance.
  • API (510, 653, 570) certification preferred.
  • Active or current API certifications are strongly preferred: API 510, 653, or 570.
  • Supplemental certifications are preferred: API 580, 571, 579, AWS-CWI, and FRPI certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of PSM Mechanical Integrity requirements is essential.
  • Broad-based, hands-on experience with all types of fixed equipment is necessary.
  • A strong background in all relevant fixed equipment codes and standards is required, including (but not limited to) API 510, API 570, API 650/653, API RP 579, API RP 580/581, ASME Sec II, Sec V, Sec VIII, Sec IX, B31.1, B31.3, B16.5, and OSHA CFR 1910.119.
  • Technical skills in using and optimizing inspection data management software, including integrations with SAP, are expected as the transition to PCMS is underway.
  • Knowledge and experience in interpreting inspection reports, collecting data, conducting analysis, and providing corrective action recommendations are essential.
  • It is beneficial to have a good working knowledge of routine and advanced/specialized inspection techniques, such as UT, MT, PT, VT, B-scan, C-scan, UT shear wave, guided wave technology, and digital and computerized radiography.
  • Understanding repair techniques and procedures for stationary equipment and piping systems is necessary.
  • A broad knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and analysis techniques is required.
  • Experience in root cause failure analysis, particularly concerning stationary equipment, is expected.
  • It is crucial to communicate effectively using facts and figures, as well as to have skills in influencing, persuading, and negotiating. Strong interpersonal skills are required for this position. Knowledge and experience in providing technical guidance, support, and mentorship for less-experienced inspectors and NDE technicians are essential.
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time.
