**Shipping and Receiving Coordinator - Irving, TX**
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for shipping, receiving, returns, carrier relations, order management, product management and customer service. Assumes prompt, accurate, and systematic handling of finished goods and raw materials orders while providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Functions

• Maintain shipping schedule by picking and packing individual customer orders per specific customer requirements.
• Inspect all goods to specifications when received and prior to shipping to the customer.
• Input receiving and order shipping information into Company ERP system on a timely and accurate basis.
• Receive and verify shipments received in the Company warehouse.
• Perform inventory cycle counts per work instructions.
• Safely operate a lift or fork truck when picking orders or putting away merchandise.
• Observe all Company safety guidelines, wear proscribed safety attire and work safely at all times.
• Facility maintenance; Maintain good housekeeping in the Warehouse and around the Company facility.
• Drive company vehicle for occasional pick-up or delivery.
• Maintain Company building and grounds as directed.
• Perform all general warehouse tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Shipping/Receiving Admin Job DescriptionJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Bilingual Shipping/Receiving Admin to manage daily shipping and receiving operations in our logistics facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in logistics or warehouse environments, strong organizational abilities, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00/hrKey Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits.
• Analyze shipping and receiving data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with English and Spanish-speaking team members and clients.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track shipments and inventory.
• Collaborate with transportation providers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Support client service level agreements (SLAs) and resolve operational issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics roles.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven track record in improving logistics operations and team performance.
• Proficient in WMS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices.
• Familiarity with EDI and TMS systems.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
**The purpose of this position is** : Ensure that parcel (FEDEX, UPS), LTL and FTL shipments are processed per customer requirements. Interact with CSR's, Planning and Corporate Transportation to ensure customer orders are processed per requirements. Ensure that materials in various stages of shipping and receiving are pulled and delivered to internal and/or external customers; domestic and/or international.
**This position includes significant duties such as to:**
+ Pick up and deliver materials to the production floor using forklift and/or pallet jack
+ Perform cycle counts and other audits as required
+ Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures; prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping; prepare necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading
+ Ensure that transactions are properly recorded in required systems (SAP, FedEx, UPS, etc.)
+ Accurately stock, transact and distribute materials to production areas
+ Assist with on the job training to new employees and resolve problems utilizing knowledge of shipping/receiving/stock operations
+ Contribute to the 5S departmental goals by maintaining the cleanliness of the production, shipping and warehouse areas
**Working Conditions:**
+ Team environment with well lit, climate controlled areas
+ Bending, standing, or walking for approximately 6-8 hours per day; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
+ Work with chemical substances, heat, dust, noise, fume odors, oil mist; none disagreeable
+ Will require use of PPE, such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, etc.
**Education/Experience:**
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ 1-3 years Warehouse and Shipping experience; 1-2 years forklift driver experience with fall protection and other material handling equipment.
+ Able to effectively communicate in English

The range for this position is $20.75 hourly rate - $23.38 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
