YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR WAREHOUSE DRIVER - SHIPPING AND RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

As a part-time Warehouse Driver - Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will start your day by preparing the warehouse for incoming deliveries, ensuring everything is organized and ready to go. You will receive, load, and efficiently manage deliveries of cabinets, windows, and doors, ensuring that products are handled with care. When customers come in, you'll assist them with loading their purchases, providing excellent service and support. Occasionally, you will operate a 16-foot box truck to make local deliveries, relishing the opportunity to be out on the road. Throughout your day, you will maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, contributing to an effective workflow.

JOB SUMMARY: Material Handler A works independently and with limited direction will safely and efficiently pull, pack. transport and store materials throughout the facility. Performs incoming components and raw material inspections utilizing gages, calipers, and micrometers. Weighs, counts parts using digital counting scales. Uses forklifts and other moving equipment. Perform necessary inventory transactions and inspection results as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reads work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, or racks by hand or by utilizing 4 D fork truck, or other fork trucks and moving devices. Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using hand-operated crane or hoist. Performs incoming material inspections by comparing materials received to drawings/prints. Using box cutters, wire cutters, or other hand tools to open boxes, crates, bundles; Material Handler A measures materials using gages, calipers, micrometers, etc. and compares dimensions to print specifications. Enters specific transactions into computer software. Communicate professionally with internal and external customers and suppliers. Supports an environment of continuous improvement to reduce waste and control costs. Maintains safety standards and OSHA compliance. Drive all company vehicles when necessary Perform weekly safety inspections on all forklifts and storage racks ADDITIONAL DUTIES Cross trains in all warehouse positions and perform those duties when needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) HS diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years warehouse/forklift experience. Ability to maneuver 70 pounds and safely push carts, dollies, overhead cranes and operate other material handling equipment. Basic math skills and the ability to read, write and communicate in English. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Experience with forklift and other warehouse machinery. Demonstrates organizational skills and attention to detail. Efficient use of computers and desktop applications. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Warehouse/Manufacturing environment. Requires a frequent amount of physical labor including reaching, lifting, carrying, twisting, stooping, and regular walking/standing across the facility. • Responsible for performing manual warehouse tasks including loading/unloading trucks, shipping/receiving products, and maintaining the facility. Operates forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.

 This person will be taking all parts that come from our sanding department and helping set the job up/ stage for a finisher. They will be accounting for all the doors, trim packages, fillers, outlet covers, the trim sheets, the build folders……everything that job needs to ship complete is in the finishers booth and ready for paint. They will have a check sheet to fill out. They will be taking the tape and cardboard off the cabinets after they are dry and ready to assemble. This person must have good time management skills as well as organizational skills.  

• Receive and inspect all parts and accessories, including hardware and those from the Sanding department.
li>Label and organize all incoming parts in storage system.
• Maintain order of all inventory.
• Stage components such as doors, drawer fronts, trim packages, fillers, outlet covers, and build folders for finishing
• Use checklists to verify all parts required for each job are present and properly labeled
• Ensure all components are placed in the Finishing Booth prior to the painting process
• Remove tape and cardboard from cabinets once dry and prepare them for final assembly
• Maintain clean and organized staging areas to ensure efficient workflow
• Communicate missing or damaged items to the appropriate team members

• Perform material receipt, put away, pick, delivery, sort, and counting transactions
• Ensure materials are counted and sorted for production and customer fulfillment, and documented through the Warehouse Management System
• Responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received by the company and ensuring that corresponding documentation is filed and maintained accurately

• Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing materials; locate reels as needed. Cut and handle rope for shipment or fabrication according to specifications. Operate rewinding machines, spool, and coil various sizes of rope and strand to meet customer orders.
• Conduct quality inspections on rope, collaborating with others to load and unload trucks, and assemble reels.
• Prepare reels and coils for shipment, including labeling, tagging, and completing shipping documentation.

Role Purpose :

Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities :

• Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 20% of specified shift.
• Put-away and pick product for shipment or stock. Insure the exact number and type of products, ordered by the customer, are checked and loaded correctly.
• Compare the quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer's order to ensure outgoing product shipments are complete and correct.
• Changes equipment battery or LP tank and monitors power source as necessary.
• Verify and report discrepancies such as non-available products and OS&D.
• Maintain the facility and the facility's equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion. Inspect all operated equipment daily.
• Complete daily inspection of equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories.
