Job DescriptionSummary Performs repetitive production and packing operations to mass-procedure products such as preforms by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Machine Operator has the responsibility to successfully complete the position training program found in the plant training manual.
The Machine Operator has the authority to shut down production equipment to prevent the production of defective product. Has the authority to place Non-Conforming Product on Hold.
Randomly checks parts produced every hour for any possible defects (including grease, flash, punctures, and other defects), to ensure that customer specifications are met.
Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
Monitors flow of parts into assembling machinery, secondary equipment, and storage containers.
Tends machines, such as presses which perform in molding area, according to machine (product) standard.
Works at different work stations as production needs require.
Works on line where tasks vary, as parts of various sizes and shapes move along the line.
Packs all parts which are of good quality into boxes, in preparation for sealing and shipping.
Completes daily report of parts produced and any scrap parts which resulted, including downtime.
Notifies Production Supervisor and Process Technician whenever items produced do not meet quality requirements, or if machinery need repair.
Uses calculator to arrive at accurate calculations of different production-related data.
Wears all required personal protective equipment.
Maintains housekeeping of all work areas and equipment.
Starts-up molds according to set-up sheet.
Completes daily log of activities on an accurate and timely basis.
Makes process and parameter changes to ensure the highest quality possible.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Starts devices to test their performance.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Capable to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Safety: Must attend all required Safety/OSHA training classes. Must adhere to all Safety Rules as posted in employee handbook and in the plant. All employees must adhere to the Amcor "No Injuries Program".

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Packaging Engineer with hands-on experience in relevant technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, optimization, and sustaining of advanced packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead process development and optimization of IC packaging processes (e.g., compression mold, ball attach, laser groove, dicing, die attach, tape & reel, backgrinding / thinning).
* Define and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) for new materials and process evaluations.
* Establish process windows and control limits; develop process documentation including FMEA and control plans.
* Support new product introductions and ramp to production by collaborating closely with manufacturing and Product teams.
* Identify root causes and drive corrective actions for yield and reliability issues.
* Troubleshoot process issues, providing continuous improvements to yield, quality, and cycle time.
* Work with tool vendors and material suppliers to develop next generation technologies.
* Maintain clear documentation of process changes, results, and improvements through review & control processes.
* Present findings and suggest improvements to leadership teams.
Required Qualifications:
* At least 5-10 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor packaging process development (e.g., compression mold, ball attach, laser groove, dicing, die attach, tape & reel, backgrinding / thinning).
* Knowledge of JEDEC reliability testing and associated failure modes & remedies.
* Familiarity with materials used in FOWLP/FOPLP ball attach and RDL is an added advantage.
* US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
* Solid understanding of failure analysis and troubleshooting with 8D, Six sigma processes.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach is needed.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills is required.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
* BS degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, MS or PhD degree is a plus.
