A rapidly growing, multi-state clinical research site network is seeking a Medical Doctor (MD/DO) to join our team as a Medical Sub-Investigator . This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with seasoned psychiatry and neurology Principal Investigators on late-phase, industry-sponsored trials exploring novel treatments for psychiatric and neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead medical safety oversight for assigned trials in collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI)
- Conduct medical evaluations, safety assessments, and adverse event (AE/SAE) reviews
- Monitor vital signs, lab results, ECGs, and other safety data
- Manage medical concerns and escalate to the PI as needed
- Perform or supervise study-specific procedures such as physical exams, neurological assessments, infusions, sub-Q injections, and psychiatric/neurological interviews
- Review and confirm participant eligibility against medical/safety criteria
- Oversee use of concomitant medications per protocol guidelines
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
- Participate in monitoring visits, audits, and inspections
- Collaborate closely with study coordinators, raters, and site staff to ensure smooth study flow and participant engagement
Requirements
- MD or DO with an active Massachusetts medical license or able to get one
- Specialties welcomed: Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Neurology, Anesthesiology, Sleep Medicine
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work with diverse populations, including geriatrics

The Psychiatrist will play a key role in the delivery of exceptional psychiatric care to CRCH patients, providing both administrative support and direct care while working collaboratively to ensure continued excellence in performance standards.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate and treat patients, provide psychiatric assessment/care and health education services; assess psychological impact of illness and treat appropriately.
- Prescribe medications including controlled substances utilizing evidence-based medicine.
- Provide consultation to nurses to triage patients who call or walk in to the Health Center.
- Manage and follow-up on patients through Electronic Medical Records.
- Maintain continuity of care when Health Center patients utilize other health care facilities.
- Refer patients for specialty services and provide documentation according to Health Center policies.
- Participate in continuing education programs and ensure training to maintain licensure.
- Educate patients and family members about mental health and medical conditions.
- Provide appropriate health screenings as a baseline prior to psychopharmacology management.
- Work closely in collaboration with BH and primary care clinicians around referrals generated for medication evaluation.
- Meet clinical standard of productivity as specified in employment agreement.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Behavioral Health or designee.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, TRAITS
- Medical Doctor with board certification in psychiatry.
- Active license to practice psychiatry in Massachusetts.
- Prior ambulatory experience preferred.
- Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese preferred.
- Experience in diverse culture preferred.

As Division Chief, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pediatric emergency medicine at BMC. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Leadership : Collaborate with department leadership to develop a vision for the division that aligns with BMC's goals and values.
Mentorship and Development : Empower faculty to excel academically and professionally.
Educational Excellence : Enhance the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship program and contribute to resident and medical student education.
Clinical Innovation : Lead the team in developing new processes to improve care quality, safety, and efficiency.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Build strong relationships with other departments to create seamless patient care pathways.
Patient and Physician Focus : Drive initiatives to achieve the highest levels of patient satisfaction and physician engagement.
Qualifications:
Physician (MD or DO) or foreign equivalent and board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Eligible to be fully licensed and credentialed as an attending physician at Boston Medical Center
Compensation:
An attractive compensation package including relocation assistance will be constructed that is competitive and commensurate with the background and experience of the selected candidate.
