**Responsibilities**
+ Report to front line leadership.
+ Communicate between shifts to anticipate & prepare for any production concerns
+ Set up, operate & monitor of printers &/or baggers for daily operations
+ Safely operate equipment in a manner to ensure a maximum product throughput and minimum downtime
+ Run to standard while complying to customer specifications & acceptable quality levels
+ Report any non-conformances to front line leadership.
+ Load/reload hoppers with unfinished product to ensure a continuous operation

**Qualifications**
+ Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.

**What does a successful Printer Technician do at Fiserv?**
You will join the team at our Stafford, TX location and receive training on how to repair our world class Print Production equipment. You will perform difficult and complex technical maintenance duties. Your role will involve following a preventative maintenance schedule for our production machines and electrical/electronic equipment. Additionally, you'll need to ensure the completion of your assigned maintenance work orders and regularly check the progress of your work throughout the facility.
As a valued member of our team, you will be provided opportunities to continue your company paid education with a local area college. You will gain maintenance repair insight with on-the-job training to learn how to troubleshoot and repair over 20 different specialized print production equipment. We provide the tools on-site that you will need to complete the assigned tasks; while ensuring you have the support needed to advance your career with us.
**What you will do:**
+ Perform disassembly, repair, or replacement of parts and/or production equipment
+ Conduct fitting and alignment of mechanical components for proper functioning
+ Utilize troubleshooting techniques to provide temporary and long-term fixes to minimize downtime
+ Diagnose and correct maintenance issues on Statement and Invoices Equipment, Mail Inserters, Cut Sheet Printers and Laser Printers
+ Analyze and interpret schematic diagrams for electronic troubleshooting
**What you will need to have:**
+ A high school diploma or GED required
+ 3+ years of progressive maintenance repair and electronic/mechanical troubleshooting
+ Willing to go back to school to earn degree or certification
+ Mechanical aptitude
+ Experience using a computer for data entry
+ Experience with using hand tools like drill, screwdriver, and soldering equipment

Essential Functions
- Fabricate holding fixture so that parts to be screened are held consistently.
- Position object against guides on set-up board or holding fixture of screening device and lower the screen.
- Pour ink into screen frame or dip squeegee in ink and draw squeegee across screen to transfer design to object.
- Clean screen with solvent at end of run and when using different colors.
- Mix inks according to standard formulas.
- Examine printed object for defects and compare printing with supplied documents to verify adherence to quality requirements.
Requirements
- One year of on-the-job training or two-year degree in Graphic Arts.
- Ability to read basic English and communicate with co-workers.
- Simple math limited to addition and subtraction.
- Must be able to stand or sit for long hours in one position.
- Work environment is fast-paced and requires deadlines to be met.
- May have controlled exposure to solvents and inks. Protective gear is supplied, but people with allergies or respiratory sensitivity to chemicals should not consider this position.
