Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction for overall production and maintenance operations in accordance with the vision and values of the corporation. Fosters a Culture of Safety for staff and all employees by promoting and modeling an Employee Driven, Hazard Controlled environment. Advise the local business concerning long-term-strategic direction. Manage and coordinate the production plan (daily/weekly) to meet delivery schedules and budgeted cost/efficiency expectations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through appropriate channels in the operation. Manage the coordination and execution of predictive/preventative maintenance plans through the maintenance management system for the facility, ensure asset reliability meets or exceeds performance expectations. Holds self and staff directly accountable for adherence to standards, policies & regulations for the safe, environmentally compliant production of a quality precast concrete product. Ensures training plans for production and maintenance staff and self are in place and followed, promoting key aspects of the overall succession plan process. Assume plant manager responsibilities as needed.

Job Location

This is an onsite position located in Stockton, CA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation and maintaining of safety & continuous flow production methods with plant manager
  • Responsible to actively seek out, find, and implement process improvements; to include improvements on RM cost reduction, asset utilization, team balancing, matching team strategy to situation
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of leadership; asses team dynamics, prepare for change, promote & develop team pipeline with plant manager
  • Responsible for final sign off with scheduler on daily/weekly production schedule
  • Establishes formal and informal communications for staff and employees (e.g. morning safety huddle, mid-day meeting, maintenance planning, operations & sales & engineering)
  • Ensures proper training of employees with leads and systematic trainer to advance the business
  • Responsible for plant layout, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency
  • Utilize Inventory Management Process (Production-Purchasing Report) to ensure finished goods inventory meets TWC targets for the business
  • Ensures monthly OSHA compliance training is conducted according to schedule requirements with EH&S Tech and EH&S Area manager
  • Ensures safety committee is actively engaged in promoting awareness for safety programs/initiatives and driving improvement towards a Employee Driven, Hazard Controlled environment
  • Responsible for overall preventative/predictive maintenance program for the facility with maintenance manager
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of precast processes and equipment, have workable knowledge of industry technological developments and best practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 3+ years leadership experience in an industrial environment leading multiple departments
  • Associates' degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Production or related field or Bachelors degree preferred
  • 5+ years demonstrated manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and allocate resources
  • Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing and utilizing process and procedures

The Rental Production Manager L2 (Level 2) is responsible for creating a high performing operational environment with a team focused, motivated, and inspired to achieve team objectives. The Rental Production Manager L2 is accountable for developing a high performing team, overseeing all plant operations in a location, and ensuring on-time delivery of products that exceed our customer expectations, service and quality standards, and positions Cintas as the leader and best in our industry.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience Actively works with the Sales and Service teams conducting plant tours, setting appropriate expectations, resolving quality issues, etc. to ensure Cintas is positioned to grow and retain business.
  • Partner Experience Creates an environment that allows Cintas to sustain a highly motivated, engaged, and diverse workforce where partners feel supported and want to do their best work.
  • Safety and Risk Management - Creates, promotes, and sustains a culture of world class safety. Ensures

production department operates in compliance with internal corporate audit requirements and all corporate policies. Ensures the organization's safety, health and environmental systems and protocols are implemented in the production department. Successfully implements and maintains all aspects of the safety scorecard and the fatality prevention program. Engages partners in safety and ergonomic improvements helping to eliminate injuries. Participates in monthly Safety Improvement Committee (SIC) meetings and leads by example as a location leader in safety and health.

  • Communication - Collaborates with General Manager and all other department leaders to ensure the production team is working toward shared location goals and achieving key performance indicators

while supporting all company and location visionary efforts. Develops personal relationships with key stakeholders to provide them with the necessary resources to service and exceed customer

expectations. Maintains positive lines of communication with the location Service team, Branch leadership, and SSRs through effective execution of key initiatives and programs,weekly/monthly participation in service meetings, Production leadership quarterly route rides, weekly calls and quarterly Branch visits to include Production Manager and Supervisors.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned, including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills, and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum two years supervisory/management experience.
  • Two years industry experience preferred.
  • Minimum one year as a Cintas Production Manager required.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Minimum processed volume requirement of $18M or 2+ branches.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts with variable schedules.

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of base salary for this role ranges between $8,505.00 - 127,058.32/Year and is eligible for an annual target bonus. The bonus earned is based on the performance of the individual, location, division, and/or company. The range takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organization needs. Please note, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decision are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each decision.

Manufacturing Production Operators are responsible for mixing raw materials to create finished products according to batch tickets. Production Operators operate within Blends, Spray Dry, Super Coat or Rice or Packing.

Key Responsibilities
• Follow SOPs, GMPs, Food Safety, Human Safety and company policies.
• Maintain a disciplined and methodical approach to each blend being accountable for the results of the produced lot.
• Perform housekeeping in assigned area and in other areas of the plant.
• Maintain a teamwork attitude to assist others, or work in areas that you may not be primarily assigned to.

Duties and Day-to-Day Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:
• Sets up and start mixing tank(s) and blender(s).
• Obtains and understands all documentation for making batches. Ensures correct ingredients are used for each batch.
• Pouring powders into mixer(s) in predetermined quantities up to and including 55 pounds.
• Operates equipment (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, etc.) safely.
• Follows lab instructions regarding batch approval, adjustments, and any additional requirements.
• Perform basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, sealing, package counts and evaluating product or package appearance.
• Communicates with material handlers and packers when materials are needed and batches are ready to pack.
• Completes all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner.
• Observes safety requirements set forth by the company.
• Operates a forklift, manual pallet jack or other equipment to move empty pallets, bags and other supplies.
• May be utilized to package products.
• Performs other duties as required and directed.

Work Environment:
• The production environment is exposed to cold and heat. The employee will work inside and outside and may be exposed to several elements (i.e., dust, noise, extreme cold and heat) and a variety of working environments.
• Dusty environment requires FIT test for respirator use. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required such as bump cap, gloves and safety toe footwear.
• Work conditions also include elevated areas, ascending/descending, and working on ladders, scaffolding, and portable work areas/platforms will also be required.
• May be required to frequently stand for 85 percent and walk around for 10 percent of shift.
• The job also requires working in confined spaces to inspect, repair, and troubleshooting inside process equipment and other confined access.

Production Worker Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years' experience working in industrial production is strongly preferred.
• Forklift trained preferred.
• Must be available for nights, weekends, occasional overtime and some holidays.
• Capable of reading and comprehending documents, scales and safety manuals in English.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Able to perform these operations using weight and volume measurements.
• Must keep a clean shaven face for proper respirator wear.
• Basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times.
• Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, climbing and reaching.

Production Operator

This position is responsible for daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

The Sr. Production Planner Buyer is responsible for planning and executing the departments plan for product introductions in Manufacturing. This position interacts with internal partners including marketing, engineering and manufacturing to understand material and demand requirements.
