The Production Shift Supervisor oversees all aspects of production, is responsible for the organization and planning in the assigned area, provides guidance, execution strategy where necessary, and direct supervision to the shift organization.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance management, review and execute area audits
* Oversee production employees' performance and development
* Plan, direct, and monitor the work of shift operations for optimum output and efficiencies
* Maintain housekeeping standards/assignments
* Maintain area operating procedures ensuring all safety standards and personal protective equipment requirements are met by employees
* Communicate daily operations and plan strategies to all employees, departments, and supervisors

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:
* Bachelor's degree in related field and 5+ years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment OR equivalent combination of education and work experience

As an Assembly Line Technician, you will be responsible for providing support for an Assembly Team by training Assembly Team Members, troubleshooting assembly issues, providing feedback to the Assembly Team, and assisting in the implementation of product changes and updated quality procedures.
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this position is based in Shreveport, LA.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Safety

Follow all safety practices.

Trains Assembly Team members to work in a safe manner.

Promotes a safe working environment by monitoring PPE and housekeeping.

Participate in accident investigations.
Quality
-
Communicate and teach quality requirements and assembly procedures for specialized models to the Assembly Team.

Perform the first level process audits regularly throughout the week.

Work with the broader manufacturing team to implement product changes and introduce new products.

Participate in finished goods product audits and takes findings to the line to implement corrective actions.

Review customer complaints for their Assembly Line and participate in implementing corrective action.

Trains Assembly Team members.

Help identify daily bottlenecks and helps the Assembly Team Leader mitigate problems by suggesting personnel or process changes.

Helps mitigate production disruptions, caused by specialized models, through planning with the Material Handler and the Assembly Team Leader.

Help mitigate issues with product changeovers.

Works on the Assembly Line as required, filling in or mitigating production issues.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Minimum 6 months' experience working on your current Beverage-Air assembly line

Demonstrated proficiency with using and troubleshooting all of the tools and equipment on your assembly line

Primary Responsibilities
* Supervise and direct shop personnel to safely provide on time tools and backups to the hot rolling mill.
* Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance supervisors to ensure that workshop equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition by performing routine inspections.
* Inspect equipment to identify any required replacements, malfunctions, and repairs or possible improvements.
* Monitor the process outcome to ensure production capacity and quality.
* Support tooling personnel in their assigned responsibilities.
* Work under the guidance of the Tooling Manager to perform and complete assigned duties in timely manner.
* Conduct personnel evaluations and counselling, keeping records and documentation.
* Operate, if needed, trucks, cranes, and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between working areas.
* Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
* Contribute to waste management programs, reporting environmental risks and overall safety hazards to EHS.
* Identify and report unsafe operations to the Tooling Manager/EHS immediately.
* Maintain the work area, tools, and workshop equipment ensuring cleanliness and safety.
* Ensure Training of tooling personnel in appropriate tasks and maintain records.
* Drive a culture of purpose and diligence. Our margin for error is small.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
* Some college education (complete or incomplete) in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is a plus.
* 2 years of professional experience in a tool / roll shop environment is required.
* Previous lead/supervisor experience is preferred.
* Ability to knowledgeably interface with various vendors and customers- both onsite and off-site.
* Strong safety awareness and experience.
* Demonstrated capability to get results from people, technology, and process.
* Basic SAP experience is preferred with general computer knowledge required.
* Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills are required and are a major key to success in this role.
