Engineering Project Management Support Specialist
Type of Position:
This position will begin as a 12-month contract, with strong potential for long-term employment. While the contract is initially set for 12 months, there is no fixed end date, and extensions beyond the initial term are possible. Conversion to a direct hire role may occur as early as 3 months, depending on individual performance and business needs. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.
Candidate Requirements:
This role is with a major defense contractor. While a security clearance is not required for this position, candidates must still meet eligibility criteria for work on federal contracts. - This role follows a 9/80 schedule, which means you'll work nine hours per day Monday through Thursday, and alternate between working an eight-hour Friday and having the next Friday off. Our standard hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the nine-hour days and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the Friday that's worked. All of this includes a one-hour unpaid lunch break each day.
- There may be occasional overtime in this role. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x.

**YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:**
+ Work with Program Management Office, Project Managers and Leadership Team to support program and team objectives.
+ Coordinating and tracking progress on a portfolio of facilities projects, such as equipment installations and space rearrangement.
+ Tracking facilities utilization, utilities, and conditions in support of laboratory and office operations.
+ Transitioning project specifications into operating space including coordinating new operation and maintenance requirements.
+ Primary focus as Deputy Project Manager supporting cost, schedule and status of project deliverables and performance.
+ Track and mitigate risks identified by Project Engineers.
+ Support proposals and baseline control.
+ Collaborate with other disciplines to resolve complex and unforeseen problems.
+ Adapt working methods when unforeseen problems arise, or milestones change.
+ Motivate and support the team to drive positive culture. Lead by example.
+ Drafting and reviewing Statements of Work (SoW) for facilities projects.
+ Providing on call support to Facilities Tech(s) (24/7).
+ Travel to ACST locations - estimated at 20%.
The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is $71,500.00 - $89,400.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. **YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
+ 3+ years' experience in program management, project management, project controls or project support.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
+ U.S. Citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provide all security related inputs and milestones to meet customer driven schedule.
+ Ensure adherence to contract, schedule, cost, and compliance with both customer requirements and integration with Honeywell corporate policies.
+ Identify opportunities and execute plans for efficiencies and standardization of security functions across multiple locations.
+ Coordination and integration with facilities and IT teams.
