Job Summary:
Purchasing & Receiving Clerk - Nutrition & Food Services
Maintains an accurate and efficient inventory system through the use of computer systems in purchasing, storage issuance and receiving foods and supplies for Wellstar Kennestone. Receives, handles and stores food and supplies in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Standards (HACCP). Meets the budgetary constraints of the department.
Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Receiving Accuracy:
* Consistently checks condition of shipment, noting any damage or discrepancies and informing Inventory Specialist.
* Stays alert for shipments marked refrigerated, rush priority or have emergency status and prioritizes accordingly.
* Checks current inventory to ensure no stock in inventory is expired. - Issue accuracy:
* Accurately matches all delivery documents with packages and stages for delivery of goods.
* Performs timely, accurate and safe delivery and/or pick-up of materials throughout the site and the system utilizing appropriate materials management equipment.
* Responsible for safety to self and others while delivering materials throughout department and facility. - Adherence to Company and Department Operating Policy and Procedures:
* Checks all cooler internal temps daily and records result on cooler temp log.
* Ensures staff if using FIFO (First in First out) when putting up stock.
* Ensure all stock is stored within guidelines established by regulatory agencies (18 inches from ceiling and 6 inches from floor, HACCP, and disposal of dented cans).
* 100% Handwashing compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in stock rotation and/or storage required.
- Foodservice experience highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pallet jacks and other heavy storeroom equipment.
- Good customer relations and communication skills are essential.
- Must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language.
- Limited cooking knowledge is helpful.

Overview
CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for a full-time Retail Stock Clerk in Marietta ! This position works collaboratively with our operations team to stage and load furniture for customer pickup and delivery.
*Preference will be given to applicants with at least 6 months of prior warehouse, forklift and/or cherry picker experience.
Pay: $17.50 / hour
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday
Responsibilities
- Assist with truck transfers by unloading and placing product on sales or warehouse floor
- Daily movement of sold product to the back room
- Organize back room to be efficient for customer pick-ups and deliveries
- Maintain store appearance through cleaning and vacuuming daily and merchandizing and pricing product
- Adhere to CORT Retail Best Demonstrated Practices (including safety and product protection)
- Touch up and repair merchandize to its best condition
- Assist our outside delivery service with loading their trucks for deliveries
- Assist customers with furniture loading
- Assist selling previously rented furniture and household accessories
- Develop customer relationships with outstanding customer service
- Participate in monthly retail sales meetings
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Reliable transportation
- High school diploma or GED; or 6 months related warehouse experience and/or training
- Physically able and willing to move furniture; ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all CORT departments
- Experience moving furniture is preferred but not required
- Prior experience operating a cherry picker and forklift is preferred but not required
- Must pass drug screening as a condition of employment. CORT also participates in the E-Verify program.

Under general supervision, the Shipping and Receiving Associate will keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments by providing information, direction, and scheduling regarding product acceptance, delivery, and storage.
What You'll Do:
• Work with others to representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
• Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
• Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Resolve issues related to overages, shortages and damages.
• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
• Contact customer to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain correspondence with customers, including receipts, invoices (if required), and tallies.
• Document all correspondence.
• Provide assistance in answering the telephone, resolving distribution center problems, and providing backup to the warehouse.
• In conjunction with distribution, schedule deliveries.
• Follow attendance policy, show up for work on time and ready to work assigned shift.

Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping and Receiving candidate to perform various tasks. Must be capable of:
