Who are we looking for?
GHD has an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Environmental Engineer or Scientist to join our growing Northern California Contamination Assessment and Remediation team in providing environmental consulting services to various commercial, industrial, and municipal clients across the Western U.S!
This position may be based out of our Concord, Roseville, or Sacramento, CA office, depending on the applicants location.
Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will involve:
- Assist with a diverse range of general environmental contamination assessment and remediation projects.
- Preparation of initial drafts of correspondence, reports, work plans, specifications, etc., for internal and/or external review.
- Coordination and implementation of field work with some supervision.
- Field implementation of work plans with limited supervision, after receiving on-the-job training.
- Support project managers with project documents including health and safety plans, invoice reviews, and project summaries.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and pricing for routine projects.
- Attendance at key project and/or client meetings.
- Participate in the Young Professionals group in the Region, and Graduate Development Program activities.
- Occasional opportunities to travel to project sites throughout the western U.S. and South Pacific.
What you will bring to the team:
- 4-year Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering or Science) degree
- 0-3 years experience
- Detail-oriented with the ability to balance a diverse and changing workload
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem
- Must be self-motivated, organized, hardworking, and have strong written and technical skills
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus
- A valid driver's license
- Desirable: Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for field work overnight and up to two weeks at a time

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000, based on experience and location.

Work independently and effectively to manage one’s time.
