Patient Recruitment Associate - Knoxville, TN USA (Hybrid)

We have an incredible opportunity for a Patient Recruitment Associate (PRA) to join ICON's Accellacare team, on a 6-month contract. The PRA is integral to support the growth and success of Accellacare as an organization. The PRA will encourage patients to participate in clinical research studies, through conducting phone screens. They will review patient's basic medical information to determine eligibility, discuss research opportunities, maintain the patient database, and report recruitment outcomes.
This role is with Accellacare ( , part of ICON's clinical research network, where you'll play a key role in transforming the clinical trial experience for patients and sponsors alike. Our global site network is designed with one goal in mind: to deliver better access, greater efficiency, and improved outcomes in clinical research.
**Location:** Knoxville, TN (Onsite an average of 3 days per week)
**Contract Duration** : 6 months, with eligibility to convert permanent
**Hours** : Full-Time, 9:00am - 6:00pm CT, Monday through Friday
**What you will be doing:**
+ Screen potential study participants accordingly to protocol inclusion and exclusion criteria by asking study specific questions
+ Review, enter, and edit patient information into clinical trial management software
+ Book patients into site schedulers ensuring that entries are accurate and up to date
+ Read and understand the purpose and inclusion/exclusion criteria for each protocol
+ Respond to all leads within a 24-hour time period
+ Identify appropriate study opportunities for interested volunteers based on knowledge of clinical trials and neighboring locations
+ Problem solve and create contingency plans to optimize enrollment
+ Effectively communicate the importance of research participation to volunteers
+ Provide an exceptional patient experience by building positive rapport and consistent follow-up
+ Strive to meet personal and team targets
+ Work in strict confidentiality in all forms including electronically, written forms, and verbal
+ Remain accountable for delivering high quality, accurate work, ensuring all administration is filed accordingly
**Your profile:**
+ Bachelors degree in life science, healthcare, or medical field
+ Experience in customer service, marketing, and/or sales
+ An interest in clinical research
+ Basic understanding of medical terminology
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Comfortability fielding inbound and outbound phone calls
+ Ability to multitask
+ Organizational skills with attention to detail
+ Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
+ Computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Job Summary

This is a skilled position where the Human Resources Generalist will facilitate and provide a variety of timely services for company employees, applicants and management staff. Under general guidance of the HR Manager, you will provide administration of human resources policies and programs focusing on recruitment, affirmative action, compensation, training and employee relations. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer, assist, and field employee questions as they relate to benefits, payroll, wellness and other programs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that HR programs and systems are compliant with federal, state, and local laws
  • Assist and track Short Term Disability (FMLA), and other HR programs and practices as required
  • Attend career fairs and be responsible for set up/take down and engage with attendees while being a representative of Harrison Construction, a CRH company
  • Conduct new hire orientation and track progress through our 30/60/90 day program for all new employees
  • Maintain employee personnel records and keep all documents filed appropriately and timely.
  • Assists HR Manager with salaried exempt and hourly hiring process, including composition of job descriptions, offer letters and evaluating candidates.

  • Conduct/facilitate electronic onboarding (CLICK) process for all new hires
  • Assist scheduling and conducting interviews with supervisors as requested

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field or equivalent in related work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources is preferred (experience in a construction environment is a plus)
  • Advanced PC skills with proficiency in MS Office including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint and Canva experience a plus
  • Must be able and willing to travel to site locations, occasionally with some overnight/out of town meetings, seminars and training events.

Responsibilities

This position develops and coordinates strategic recruitment and outreach initiatives designed to attract competitive in-state students. Counsels a diverse set of prospective students and parents. Represents UTK and Undergraduate Admissions at recruitment events. Coordinates and manages schedules of travel, visits, and general office duties. Manages a team of regionally based admission staff in West, Middle, and East Tennessee. Holistically reviews prospective student applications for admission. This position will be based in Tennessee (preferably East or Middle Tennessee), and have a recruitment territory focused in Tennessee while also supporting states in close proximity as necessary. The HRBP is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HR Business Partner will develop and foster partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition. This is a hands-on position that requires some administrative work and while there are no direct supervisory responsibilities, the HRBP does serve as a coach and mentor for other team members within the department.

What You Will Do

  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g.,coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, investigations).
  • Helps administer and analyze the following Company Compensation Program; Job Descriptions; Annual Salary Surveys, and the annual Performance Evaluation Program.
  • Helps with Benefits administration. Work with brokers to ensure claim resolution, change reporting, approve invoices, COBRA administration, annual plan re-evaluation, evaluation of systems used, and manage the Open Enrollment process.
  • Administer the company's 401k plan according to plan document and enrollment cycle.
  • Support employees with leave requests such as FMLA, STD, and ADA.
  • Assist with coordination of disciplinary discussions, terminations, and investigations.
  • Assist with facilitation of the Workplace Substance Abuse Program, including tracking and documentation.
  • Crosstrain and back up for HR Team during absences.
  • Assign compliance training as needed.
  • Facilitate new employee orientation as needed.
  • Handle recruiting, onboarding, and orientation for assigned positions.
  • Minimal travel may be needed, primarily local during the business day.
  • This position can be a hybrid work arrangement and will require days working in our Oak Ridge office as well as the option to work remotely other days.

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Human Resources.

Ideally, You Will Bring

  • Ten (10) years of progressive and broad experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality always.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS.
  • Proven ability to support HR effort during a time of strong growth for the company.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Capable of compiling and analyzing employment data to guide strategic planning as well as to use relevant information in proposals for new business.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or PHR is desired however not required if knowledge has been acquired through experience.
  • Federal contractor (GovCon) experience highly desired.

When a Soldier has a question about benefits, policy, or needs help with a sensitive issue, the Army National Guard's Human Resources Specialist is the primary go-to person. As an HR Specialist, you will help Soldiers develop their Guard careers and provide personnel support and assistance to all divisions within the Guard.

Specific responsibilities of the HR Specialist may include: organizing, maintaining, and reviewing personnel records; data entry and retrieval; processing recommendations; arranging awards ceremonies; preparing, updating, and coordinating requests for evaluations; preparing and monitoring Soldier requests for ID cards and tags, leaves of absence, and passes; ordering and maintaining office supplies; and maintaining filing systems.

• Responsible for the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers

Summary of Responsibility:

The Human Resource Recruiting Intern is responsible for assisting the DSL HR team in the support of the full life cycle recruiting process, from identifying, sourcing, and executing appropriate means of advertising/posting, as well as interviewing, utilizing ATS analytics, reference checks, and screening to prime appropriate candidates to onboarding stage.

Essential Duties:
  • Supports frontline recruiting efforts to support DSL HR Team and hiring managers to meet staffing needs.
  • Utilizes internal ATS to post, update, and renew frontline requisitions for DDG entities.
  • Creates postings using appropriate branding, wording, SEO, and competitive analysis benchmarks.
  • Utilizes external ATS and sourcing databases to create searches aligned with current recruiting needs.
  • Creates and shares social media postings to enhance brand awareness and attract frontline candidates to reoccurring requisitions by community.
  • Communicates with HR Team to identify KPI's of desired talent; sorts and filters through resumes and candidate profiles to select talent for community and position. Organizes candidates internal ATS and subsequent ATS, candidate pools/matrices. Notifies HR Team of potential matches for open requisitions and current needs.
  • Schedules and conducts phone screenings and interviews with potential candidates to develop candidate pools/matrices by community.
  • Utilizes interview guides and ATS notes section to update candidate status and keep files current in ATS.
  • Develops external partnerships with local recruiting resources.
  • Utilizes virtual meetings, phone calls, and/or emails and social media to communicate with, build and nurture relationships.
  • Monitors internal and external ATS for changes and updates HR team of any outstanding requisitions or concerns.
  • Participate in in-person or virtual career fairs as needed.
  • May check references and conducts background screening as needed.
Education, Experience, Age Requirement:
  • Possess a genuine heart and passion for serving.
  • 1-2 years of HR related experience or 1-2 years of actively pursuing a post-secondary education in HR related field, preferred.
  • Must have a task-oriented mind-set, self-starter, and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to achieve results under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative setting.
  • Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
