In this role, you will cultivate a pipeline of applicants and implement the outreach and enrollment process. The Associate will promote Per Scholas' mission to prospective students through community outreach, recruitment, and digital engagement. As an integral component of the student experience, you will help build and refine our processes and help establish our brand as a valued and sought-after IT training program.
What You'll Do
Recruitment & Admissions
- Implement a rigorous outreach and admissions process throughout its entire life-cycle, ensuring targets and benchmarks for recruitment and admissions are achieved each cycle.
- Build and manage a social media marketing strategy as a tool to promote student enrollment
- Conduct presentations and administer off-site information sessions.
- Identify relationships with referral partner organizations to sustain a pipeline of candidates with a focus on mutually beneficial long-term partnerships.
- Receive and process candidate applications, including conducting phone screens and information sessions, administering the Test of Baseline Assessment, scheduling and participating in face-to-face candidate interviews.
- Communicate with candidates (including notifying applicants of their acceptance status) while quickly building rapport and trust.
- Make referrals to supportive services and/or alternative programs for applicants, as appropriate.
- Implement retention activities (Meetups, networking opportunities, etc.) for specific alumni populations, including women and young adults.
Data Management
- Execute the admissions strategy and suggest refinements for data management and tracking.
- Ensure all data about stakeholder groups (applicants, students, volunteers, community-based organizations, etc.) is accurately entered into Salesforce in a consistent and timely manner.
- Use Salesforce to track analytics in order to strategically focus time and resources.
- Produce reports to track and document both progress and outcomes.
- Keep recruitment and enrollment data organized in Salesforce, particularly regarding organizational goals and grant deliverables.
- Think strategically to recognize data and trends and suggest improvements in a start-up environment.
Other Projects:
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
- Provide telephone coverage as needed.
- Coordinate class kickoffs and graduations.
- Work cross-functionally with a willingness to "get things done" while promoting a collaborative work environment.

Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in admissions in a nonprofit or college environment a plus.
- Strong technical aptitude (Google Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Salesforce etc), project management, and organizational skills with detailed follow-through abilities.
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Strong data management skills.
- Experience with social media marketing a plus.

Compensation
For this role specifically, a salary range of $55,000 - $60,000. The salary difference is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate recruitment from posting through selection of candidates for hire by collaborating with Divisions and Bureaus in writing job descriptions, developing recruitment strategies and interview preparations and techniques, as well as collaborate with hiring managers to understand the specific needs for legal roles and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
Assist in developing strategies to recruit hard-to-fill positions by identifying and engaging additional sourcing resources.

RECRUITMENT COORDINATION
Coordinate pre-employment screening and assist candidates during the application process
Actively engage in social media and external job posting sites in recruitment efforts
Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings and proactively engage with passive candidates.
Organize materials for each interview level using the Applicant Tracking System.
Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
CANDIDATE ENGAGEMENT
Provides superior customer service and engagement to all potential candidates throughout the entire process
Work with schools to coordinate interviews, develop effective recruitment methods for students, and handle candidate-specific issues.
Attend career fairs to engage potential candidates and share the vision and the mission of the Office of the Bronx District Attorney
Conduct active and passive recruitment by networking and interacting with all potential candidates based on the hiring needs of the Office
ONBOARDING
Manage activities and operations performed in Onboarding, candidate qualifications, and background check processes to ensure adherence to governing citywide and agency-wide rules and regulations, to fulfill its responsibility and role in the final stage of the recruitment and onboarding processes.
Approve personnel transactions entered by staff into NYCAPS after auditing/signing off on every personnel action to ensure the accuracy and completion of these entries
Approve personnel actions completed by staff prior to data entering into NYCAPS. Track and audit the completion of all, including background investigations, educational background, and employment work experience. Ensure that all scheduled candidates have been processed and seen. Manage the coordination, scheduling, and processing of actions, including new hires, promotions, record updates, demotions, and other actions;
Troubleshoot with NYCAPS on any actions (C.S. Title change, promotions, pay information, etc.) that do not get accepted into PMS and NYCAPS; liaise with DCAS to remedy the issue immediately to prevent delays in hiring and promoting staff, paycheck issues, transfers, retirement, etc.;
Track and monitor work visas and certify I-9 activity for all staff with expiring work authorizations by checking with the State Clearance Registration (SCR) system. Ensures that a system-generated letter has been sent to those employees with expiring or expired work visas;
Ensure that the records in the HR system are created timely and accurately.
Collaborate with the Chief and Deputy Chief on developing operational processes and guidelines
Perform administrative duties as required.

New York City College of Technology (City Tech) of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college in downtown Brooklyn offering associate and baccalaureate degrees, is accepting applications for the ASAP|ACE Assistant Director of Recruitment.
CUNY's Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) and Accelerate, Complete, Engage (ACE) are graduation and retention programs offered at twelve CUNY colleges. These programs help students to stay on track and graduate by providing a range of financial, academic, and personal supports, including personalized advisement, career counseling, tutoring, waivers for tuition and additional financial assistance to cover the cost of textbooks. At City Tech, ASAP and ACE serves approximately 1300 students across 20 associate and baccalaureate programs, concentrating primarily on STEAM majors. Consisting of 20 full-time staff members, the ASAP and ACE team at City Tech provides holistic and comprehensive services to its students and work with departments across campus to support student engagement and retention, thus ensuring timely degree completion and post-graduation success.
Reporting to the ASAP|ACE Program Director, the Assistant Director of Recruitment will design and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan to meet the recruitment targets of the ASAP and ACE programs. They will be responsible for coordinating workshops, intake screenings, and orientation sessions for prospective students in collaboration with other members of the ASAP|ACE team, Enrollment Management, and the Program Coordinator for Math Start, a CUNY initiative supporting students in preparing for college-level coursework and meeting CUNY's math proficiency milestones.

+ Collaborate with the ASAP Associate Director of Advisement, ASAP|ACE Program Director, Math Start Program Coordinator, and advisement team to organize information and pre-advisement sessions.
+ Work closely with ASAP's Financial Aid Specialist to verify and confirm applicants' FASFA, TAP and overall financial aid standing.
+ Supervise and support the ASAP Recruitment Coordinator and Student Ambassadors with recruitment, training, and other aspects of the onboarding process for student workers.
+ Represent ASAP, ACE, and Math Start at both internal and external meetings and conferences, and conduct presentations regarding these programs at college access events and informational sessions.

The Recruitment Specialist, provides outreach and follow-up to the community to recruit adults interested in becoming Foster Parents. Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of activities to outreaching and certifying foster parents for the NYC and Westchester Foster Care Programs.
Position Responsibilities :
- Recruitment of prospective foster homes for Family Foster Care and Therapeutic Family Foster Care programs in NYC and Westchester.
- Promote CMCS' foster care programs at community events and networking opportunities.
- Attracts applicants by networking within the community, through our existing foster parent population, placing foster care advertisements; contacting and negotiating with other recruiters, etc.
- Develop marketing techniques and strategies to engage prospective foster parents.
- Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Maintain tracking of all outreach activities and inquiries.
- Collaborate with program intake unit to ensure foster parents recruited can meet the current needs of the programs and trends of child needs at the time of referral.
- Conduct Foster Parent Orientation as needed.
- Support the foster parent onboarding process as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field strongly preferred
- Child Welfare experience preferred

Summary :
Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) seeks a proactive and student-centered Admissions/Veteran Student Recruitment Specialist to support veteran and military-affiliated student enrollment as part of our Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success (CEVSS). This specialist will engage in active outreach and admissions counseling, helping to grow MCNY’s veteran student population. Experience with military-affiliated students or direct recruitment of veterans in a college environment is strongly preferred. This position is in-person for a minimum of 3 days per week with a max of 19 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and support veteran students, dependents of veterans, and military-connected students.
- Provide information on admissions, academic programs, and military benefits (e.g., GI Bill®, VA funding, etc.).
- Represent MCNY at recruitment events and workshops in person and virtually.
- Collaborate with MCNY's Office of Career & Professional Development on student recruitment efforts.
- Maintain timely and accurate data related to recruitment and outreach activities.
- Support students with understanding of services available through CEVSS.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for military-affiliated students.
- Participate in trainings as required; maintain knowledge of veterans’ educational benefits and institutional policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree required- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Preferred majors: Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Special Education, Clinical Psychology, or related fields.
- 1–3 years of experience in student services, admissions, veteran support, or higher education recruitment.
- Familiarity with challenges faced by veteran students, including those with disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and office equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining professional standards.
Physical & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to move about campus facilities regularly.
- Frequent computer and phone use required.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and exchange accurate information with students, faculty, and staff.

Employment Terms:

Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
- Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
- Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
- Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
- Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
- Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
- Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
- Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
- Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
- Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
- Certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so, if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.
