Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, proactive Linux Systems Administrator with demonstrated expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), foundational networking knowledge and TS/SCI clearance. You will play a key role in maintaining system reliability, optimizing performance, and supporting the growth of our systems through testing, live demonstrations and training.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Install, maintain, and upgrade data systems, ensuring uptime, security, and performance.
+ Develop and maintain BASH scripts for system automation.
+ Configure and troubleshoot core networking components (e.g., DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, routing).
+ Assist in designing and implementing network segmentation, VLANs, and basic security policies.
+ Maintain and develop system documentation, diagrams, and operational manuals.
+ Collaborate with other IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
+ Support patching, updates, and package management.
+ Collaborate with external partners to conduct integration, testing and live demonstrations of various applications.
+ Provide expert recommendations on countermeasures, such as configuring commercial products, implementing hardware or software solutions, and adhering to security best practices.

+ Manage multiple IT vendors to ensure completion of IT projects in a timely manner.

+ Ability to troubleshoot systems and network performance across layers.

Qualifications:
+ Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP/SAR access eligibility.
+ BS/BA degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar degree.
+ Minimum of 5 years of Information Technology (IT) experience.
+ Proven experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9.
+ Understanding of Linux kernel, system, SELinux, and virtualization (KVM, Libvirt).
+ Knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, firewalls, and basic switch/router configurations.
+ Familiarity with common networking tools: netstat, firewall, traceroute, tcpdump.
Preferred Qualifications:
