**Pay Range:** 18-20/hr

+ Diagnose and repair Solventum Healthcare hardware (electronic) devices at the Solventum Health Care Service Center (HCSC).
+ Utilize common tools and test equipment required for the repair of electronic devices.
+ Operate a PC using the Microsoft Windows operating system.
+ Communicate effectively with customer service, depot repair technicians, and management to facilitate efficient depot service operations.
+ Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.

Job Description
Major Areas of Accountability
Performs the in-house repair of warranty and non-warranty electronic and/or hydro-mechanical items/products returned from the field to provide a fully functional unit that meets quality standards and applicable specifications for exchange stock or return to customer. Tests and calibrates all repaired items as required to ensure original design specifications are met.
Provides service sales with quotes of time and material for repairs using established guidelines for pricing.
Working with the Factory Repair Planner, monitors schedules and factory routing to ensure returns to customers
**Major Areas of Accountability**

+ Evaluates failed units to ensure cost effectiveness of repair versus replacing defective components.
+ Completes repair records in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Provides feedback, including design changes, to engineering for continued quality improvement on products.
+ Design modifications to modules to compensate for component changes or availability of obsolete components when engineering support has ended.
+ Design and build test fixtures to effectively repair and test products arriving in the facility.May require configuration of several system components and coordination with other facilities, equipment and resources.
+ Performs other duties as required.
**Experience**
+ 1 year of related experience
+ Proven ability to comprehend & apply written & oral instructions.
**Education**
+ AA degree or 2-year related vocational certification or equivalent military training

Job Description
**Position Purpose:**
Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for the evaluation and repair of small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices. This position makes equipment recommendations and ensures that units are maintained. Technicians work in both our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in our repair centers. In a store, technicians will be expected to provide service to store customers in Tool Rental which includes writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, checking to make sure tool is operating properly and demonstrating its proper use (as needed). In addition to supporting customer repair needs, they are also responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. In non-store locations, technicians will ensure units are repaired, tested for the quality of the repair and cleaned prior to returning to the store where the repair originated. Technicians must have a thorough knowledge of all tools and must effectively manage the tool inventory by maintaining the tools and repairing them as necessary.
