General Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of public planning professionals responsible for producing community planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic & technical production.
- Advise various councils, boards, commissions, and elected/appointed officials on planning and design-related issues.
- Serve as liaison and perform necessary functions in support of public client planning and development departments.
- Evaluate and prepare reports on operations & activities, recommend improvements and modifications.
- Participate in budget preparation and administration.

- Develop and assist in preparation of scope, budget, and schedule.
- Bachelor's Degree in City Planning, Public Affairs, Public Administration, or other related fields.
- Masters Degree preferred.
- AICP Certification or ability to acquire.
- 5-10 years' of progressively responsible experience in municipal planning and design.
- 3+ years' experience as a practice leader and manager with direct reports
- Strong communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Minimum 20 years of related work experience with 20+ years of experience related to resilience, disaster preparedness & recovery, coastal and sea level rise impacts.
+ Experience in a client organization and/or client-facing role?
+ Demonstrated acumen in business development and overall initiative leadership?

**The Opportunity**
Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a? **Resilience Services Growth Director** focused on infrastructure resilience, mitigation, preparedness, response and long-term recovery from disasters. The director will drive business development for large scale opportunities adn collaborate on strategy, in addition to providing techinical expertise and guidance to clients, projects, and teams. The role will also support our regional leaders as a seamless national team of experts that will fuel the continued growth and success of our resilience practice.
With a focus on developing BV's presence in the resilience market, this adviser will consult with our regional resilience planning, facility, and coastal teams. They will bring a strong network of Federal, state, and regional-level clients who are procuring resilience and recovery solutions, and they will identify a portfolio of target opportunities that aggregate solutions from across BV, with a dedicated focus on integrated & resilient infrastructure solutions. They will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to help guide the development of solutions and new business, for a variety of municipal, utility, stae and governmental clients, leveraging familiarity with state and local programs as well as FEMA, USACE, HUD CDBG, FERC, DOE and other Federal agencies. They will work directly with both new and existing clients and will help inform capability development through identification of key gaps, leveraging a network of partners to address those gaps.
**The Team**
Within our U.S. Business, we have seen consistent growth driven by our clients' needs to address challenges/risks stemming from climate change, increasing system vulnerabilities, coastal impacts and sea level rise, aging infrastructure, resource optimization, emergency response, carbon sequestration, risk mitigation and recovery. ?Over the last few years, we have made significant investment hires in the Resilience space - from disaster assessment & response and recovery funding to multi-disciplinary (green and grey) adaptation planning, permitting, design, and construction expertise. We anticipate increased focus on coastal protection and infrastructure hardening, systems thinking and planning, sustainable and resilient strategies, and nature-based solutions. ?This role represents a strategic business initiative for Black & Veatch, and the position is designed to help the company grow its market share by providing world-class resilience services?
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Advance business development and strategy implementation with a diverse network across BV including Regional Resilience Teams, Segment Leaders, Client and Project Directors/Project Managers and Solution Leads from Planning, Environmental, Federal, Heavy Civil infrastructure, and Alternative Funding?
+ Serve as a Resilience Advisor to our regional based Resilience teams across the US
+ Provide thought leadership, engage with the external community, and serve as a National Resilience Planning subject matter expert, bringing expertise with funding, economics, disaster recovery, and resilient infrastructure ?
+ Provide support to the team as it relates to USACE coordination/integration with local government coastal flood protection objectives
+ Facilitate and orchestrate client and stakeholder workshops?
+ Engage with and help guide the development of Resilience Planning solutions/ studies/ projects?
+ Advocate for industry interest and acceptance of innovative Netherlands water management strategies including community engagement charettes to inform acceptable adaptation strategies

**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, economics or relevant field from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing
+ Minimum 20 years of related work experience with 20+ years of experience related to resilience, disaster preparedness & recovery, coastal and sea level rise impacts.
+ Experience in a client organization and/or client-facing role?
+ Demonstrated acumen in business development and overall initiative leadership?
+ Experience with Federal approaches and tools to assess risks and provide hazard mitigation, climate adaptation, disaster recovery, and resilience strategic planning and implementation?

Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge • Build a trusting relationship and rapport with clients • Offer resources and referrals when needed and necessary Qualifications: • Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and great communication and interpersonal skills • This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree • Requires CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications • Current and unrestricted state license as an LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) or equivalent • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and great communication and interpersonal skills • 1-3 years in a clinical setting working with mental health patients is required • Training and/or experience in treating anxiety and trauma-related disorders • EMDR training preferred • Must be a licensed LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist • Must be licensed in TX • Must be comfortable working remotely • Must be proficient in virtual technology Ex: Gmail, Zoom, electronic EHR, etc. Compensation: $56,000 - $1,000 yearly
• Provide high-quality therapy to individuals on a mostly weekly basis • Reassess patient situations and provide appropriate follow-up care based on their current needs • Maintain proper notes and documentation • Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems. Encourages clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives and helps them develop insight into themselves and their relationships • Create a safe space for clients to come to where they feel seen and heard • Evaluate the client's mental condition based on the review of client information.
