Position Summary
This position is responsible for assessing health and safety programs, site safety culture, assisting management in injury and illness prevention, and ensuring operations teams are in compliance with local, state and federal occupational health and safety regulations at all Resources operating locations. Resources includes Drilling, Wellfield and Geologist operations. The EHS Coordinator will perform industrial safety and health inspections, audits, training, and provide support for all Resource operations. Will administer Ormats safety management system, generate reports, and perform analysis of incidents, key performance indicators, and safety statistics.
Position Summary

Essential Functions
- Assist EHS Manager to continually improve, evaluate, implement, and maintain health, safety and environmental policies and procedures for Drilling and Wellfield Operations, to protect employees and comply with company, state, federal and local regulations.
- Conduct incident investigations to include responding to and reporting all incidents, determining the root cause of an incident, and implementing corrective actions in Drilling, Wellfield and Geology Operations.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and conduct safety orientation for New Hires in a manner that identifies hazards in our workplace and communicates our company vision, values and goals.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and conduct effective refresher trainings for personnel according to local, state and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular visits to work areas to conduct on Drilling, Wellfield and Geologist site safety and environmental inspections and ensure compliance with any regulatory requirements, reinforce the companys vision, values and goals to the team.
- Speak to personnel in the field to identify their concerns and assist with implementing corrective actions.
- Enforce compliance of all company policies and any applicable regulatory requirements in Drilling, Wellfield and Geology Operations.
- Oversee hazardous waste disposal according to environmental regulations when necessary.
- Perform and assist with technical writing, including the development of Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Job Safety Analysis, drive the implementation of new procedures to improve working conditions Drilling, Wellfield and Geology Operations.
- Identify, procure, maintain and provide safety equipment needed in the field through coordination with Rig Supervisors and Management.
- Maintain and ensure the accurate reporting of incidents on the companys internal/online record keeping system.
- Collect and maintain OSHA compliant injury, accident and loss prevention record keeping Drilling, Wellfield and Geology Operations.
- Administer environmental reporting requirements on a local, state and federal levels.
- Assist with identifying loss time incidents and unsafe practices, recommend appropriate corrective action to the Technical Manager.
- Be available (on call) after normal working hours to attend to safety issues that require immediate responsive action. Assist with emergency response and provide first aid guidance when necessary. Ensure up-to-date contact information with emergency services.
- Must be able to travel up to 80% both domestic and internationally, up to 3 weeks duration
- Provide administrative support to the EHS group
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management
- Associates degree in related field preferred or a combination of certificates and years of experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in EHS position for drilling operations or equivalent activities
- Must have OSHA 10 and ability to obtain other certifications necessary to perform the job
- EHS Coordinator Resources 2: Bachelors degree in a related field preferred or a combination of certificates and years of experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS position for drilling operations or equivalent activities
- Must have OSHA 30 Certification in General Industry.
- Working knowledge of the Drilling Industry and safety practices including but not limited to , Well Control, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Hazard Communication, PPE, Tool Use and Electrical Safety.
- Must be a Certified and Competent Trainer for Powered Industrial Trucks.
- Must have or be able to obtain additional OSHA and other certifications necessary to perform the job.
- EHS Coordinator Resources 3: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or a combination of certificates and years of experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in EHS position for drilling operations or equivalent activities
- Must have OSHA 30 Certification in General Industry.

- Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner
- Must possess at any time a valid drivers license with a driving record acceptable to ORMATs driving safety program
- Demonstrate leadership, forward thinking and planning
- This job requires sitting approximately 30% and standing up to 70%

The HR Manager serves as a member of the PCC Carson City leadership team with a dual reporting relationship to the facility General Manager and Division Human Resources Director. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience in positively influencing business outcomes through excellence in HR programs, including talent acquisition, talent development and employee engagement. Day to day the HR Manager will work closely with managers, supervisors and employees to provide tactical HR support as well as developing a strategic direction for HR and the business.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- A business partner to the General Manager and an advisor to the plant management team. Provides guidance and advice on employee relations issues, HR policy and practice, and legal risk. Understands the business and creates HR strategies to align with business goals.
- Recommends key HR policies and processes to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Partner with and support the management team with workforce planning, performance management, and employee development.
- Lead employee relations issues and investigations.
- Design and maintain an effective employee engagement strategy to motivate the workforce, reward performance and retain workers. Facilitates and actively participates in management development programs, both corporate and local initiatives.
- Support recruiting strategies for the company's Human Capital Plan.
- Act as a subject matter expert on compliance practices. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service including assessments and audits, standards and benchmarks, evaluation of program effectiveness, and resolution of problems, bottlenecks, and deficiencies.
- Knowledge of benefits, performance evaluation, and compensation plans; Understanding of individual performance, abilities, learning, and motivation; Knowledgeable about agency laws and regulations relating to human resources (FLSA, EEO, etc.).
- Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting including people, material, and equipment resource allocation; corporate and human resource policies and benefits; leadership; teaming; and production methods.
- Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to influence leadership and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Able to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, OSHA and related state and federal regulations.
- Detailed, accurate, and organized; Ability to inform others about company benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate results and needs across all levels.
- Ability to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities.

Salary and Other Compensation :

Sinclair is seeking a Regional Human Resources Manager for multiple locations to provide direct support and guidance on various HR matters by working closely with local HR representatives, supervisory/management staff and Corporate HR management.
Enthusiasm, great communication and attention to detail are must-have attributes for this position. Visits to other TV stations including some overnight travel will be required.
Duties and responsibilities will be based on providing support to multiple operations in all functional areas of HR, including but not limited to the following:
Assisting the best employees in broadcasting
Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of our people, our work and our culture
Managing HR operations within a region and functioning as an on-site HR representative
Act as a coach and mentor to HR Contacts
Coaching and advising management on issues such as employee performance and development, addressing employee concerns, and disciplinary actions
Investigating complaints
Addressing and resolving HR matters
Ensuring compliance with federal and state employment regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADAA, EEO, and California
Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of multiple HR related systems, including Oracle Cloud HRIS.
Labor relations
Interpretation and application of policies and procedures
Administration of leave
Providing guidance on recruitment and hiring
Managing onboarding process and conducting new hire orientation
Providing guidance to employees on benefit programs
Conducting employee exit processes, including exit interviews
Safety and workers compensation
Electronic Personnel recordkeeping
Training
Conducting field visits and HR audits
Following through with and executing Corporate HR assignments and initiatives
Required Experience/Education:
A bachelors degree in Human Resources or related program of study
7+ years of HR generalist experience in a hands-on, fast paced environment
Broadcast or related media and labor relations experience is preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Solid experience with Microsoft Office is expected
Previous HRIS experience, Oracle HRIS experience is a plus
