SUMMARY
Serves meals to patrons in restaurant and consistently provides professional, attentive, genuinely friendly service to patrons. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc's Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
- Records orders on check or memorizes it.
- Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and bars.
- Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
- Follows all policies for the responsible service of alcohol.
- Requests identification from customers when legal age is questionable.
- Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
- Totals bill, processes and accepts payment in form of cash, credit card or membership signature.
- Ladles soup, tosses salads, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by particular restaurant practices.
- Completes assigned "side work" (prerequisites for preparation /set up and closing)
- Clears and/or resets tables at conclusion of each course.
- Other duties may be assigned.
OUTCOME
The Server has a great impact on how restaurant guests and patrons perceive their dining experience. A genuinely friendly, attentive, knowledgeable server can help ensure that the guest is satisfied with his/her food selection and is eager to return.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assists Food & Beverage Management in supervising and coordinating daily operations across all Food & Beverage outlets.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous similar position in a restaurant or hotel is preferred.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
- Proficient with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire. Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company’s expense.
- RBS Certification required.
- Must have an unexpired and valid driver's license with no recent violations.
- Ability to be poised under pressure with continued smiles, and maintain a highly diplomatic attitude with challenging guests and under stressful circumstances.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Responsibilities
- Embody enlightened hospitality by leading interactions with genuine warmth and care towards both team members and guests
- Prepare and assemble food orders according to Shake Shack's standards and recipes
- Master all stations and rotate through them, keeping each day fresh and exciting
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of guests and team members
- Stand for something good by aligning with Shake Shack's values of integrity, inclusivity, and community engagement
- Ability to learn quickly in fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Adaptability to various roles within the restaurant
- Consistently demonstrates integrity by doing the right thing and taking accountability
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 16 years or older

About Us
Beginning as a hot dog cart in New York City's Madison Square Park, Shake Shack was created by Danny Meyer, Founder and CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group and best-selling author of Setting the Table.
