Job Overview
As a Retail Sales Mobile Associate, you will play a key role in bringing the T-Mobile brand to life. Acting as brand ambassadors, our Mobile Associates build excitement around our products and services. Your passion for technology and customer connection will help you thrive in a dynamic environment where customer needs and retail experiences evolve continuously. This is a learning-focused position where you will work closely with your team to develop the skills necessary to advance as a Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is a requirement for this role.
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop proficiency in customer service and sales, delivering outstanding customer experiences while fostering loyalty by:
• Assisting customers in continuing their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
• Engaging with customers to understand their individual needs and providing hands-on demonstrations of innovative technology.
• Collaborating in sales to identify and provide personalized solutions beyond basic devices and service plans, including unique accessories and IoT devices.
• Approaching service and sales with integrity and compassion. - Become skilled in using digital tools for onboarding and customer interactions to actively demonstrate:
• How T-Mobile’s expanding coverage in their neighborhood provides lightning-fast LTE networks.
• The benefits of T-Mobile’s plans and services for staying connected and enjoying unlimited experiences. - Build relationships with T-Mobile employees across various channels, including business and customer service, to:
• Enhance the customer experience and resolve issues effectively.
• Identify and refer small business leads.
• Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience :
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, preferably in a retail environment (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- A passionate customer advocate with a genuine desire to connect and enjoy the process (Required)
- A competitive spirit with a proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales setting (Required)
- A willingness to collaborate with peers and store leaders in enhancing customer service and resolving issues (Required)
- Skilled in balancing customer needs with performance goals (Required)
Licenses and Certifications :
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Travel : No travel is required.
Compensation : Starting hourly base pay is $17.50, plus $.00 per hour during training. Within the first 90 days, all Mobile Associates engage in on-the-job training and are eligible for training pay. After successful completion, associates will promote to the Mobile Expert role, becoming eligible for an annual incentive target of 18,000/year. All T-Mobile employees earn a minimum of 20/hour, including base pay and incentives. Additionally, all employees are eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
