We are currently seeking a **highly skilled** **Russian/Ukrainian** **Linguist** to join our mission-driven team. This position requires a language professional capable of performing a wide range of complex linguistic tasks with precision and cultural insight.
**What You'll Do:**
You will provide professional-level linguistic support across **translation, interpretation, transcription** , **and** **Gisting** including but not limited to:
**Translation**
+ Accurately translate materials (both digital and hard copy) **from** **Russian/Ukrainian** **into English and vice versa.**
+ Capture subtle nuances, cultural references, and abstract concepts with contextual accuracy.
+ Capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural references effectively.
+ Use **terminology and expression** consistent with subject matter norms in the target language.
**Interpretation**
+ Provide **consecutive interpretation** ; **simultaneous interpretation** may occasionally be required.
+ Maintain high fidelity and fluency, demonstrating understanding of regional dialects and cultural context.
**Transcription**
+ Listen to audio or review internet-based content and transcribe accurately and efficiently.
+ Produce high-quality English-language reports based on audio/visual materials.
+ Demonstrate nuanced understanding of dialectical variations.
**Gisting and Summarization**
+ Identify and summarize key facts and abstract concepts accurately.
+ Prioritize and extract critical information from large datasets.
+ Use reference materials effectively to support quality output.
**What You Bring:**
+ **No clearance required to apply** .

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and collaborate and engage with client personnel to further mission. Essential Job Duties Read, write, and speak Russian and Ukrainian at a fluent or native level. Gist, summarize, and translate Russian and Ukrainian printed, electronic, or audio/visual material into clear, understandable, and idiomatically correct English. Review a broad range of information sources, identify information of value, and summarize content in a succinct, understandable format that retains linguistic and cultural nuance while following the customer's Operations and Style Guide. Leverage knowledge of cyber, science, technology, and military terms to ensure precision in translated materials, including lengthy documents. Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence seeks skilled Russian Cryptologic Language Analyst (CLA) Training Developers responsible for crafting and delivering cryptologic training materials that accurately reflect SIGINT analyst duties while adhering to DoD and NSA/CSS training protocols. The chosen candidate will ensure seamless knowledge transmission in alignment with governmental guidelines by employing a diverse range of instructional techniques, including eLearning platforms, multimedia resources, readings, case studies, and hands-on demonstrations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clarify and document customer operational requirements, training objectives, and material levels.
  • Aid in prioritizing requirements for training development.
  • Conduct research utilizing classified and unclassified domain-specific resources to source authentic language content.
  • Develop training materials encompassing transcription, translation, and analysis of operational, task-based exercises as necessary.
  • Collaborate with instructors, government stakeholders, and contractor developers to design, develop, and document domain-specific training materials.
  • Utilize technology such as Audacity, Adobe Creative Suite, and Adobe Premier to create blended learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with SIGINT Operations technical experts and other stakeholders to acquire and refine training materials.
  • Design practical evaluations to assess student mastery of learning objectives.
  • Identify and recommend learning applications and tools to enhance training delivery.
  • Work closely with government and contractor instructors and developers to achieve training objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current TS/SCI + Full Scope Polygraph: In-scope counterintelligence polygraphs will be accepted, while personnel possessing a current CI polygraph will be considered for a contract position that requires a full-scope polygraph if they possess a Conditional Certification of Access (CCA) pending the successful completion and adjudication of a full-scope polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Language, Area Studies, Education, Educational Technology, ISD, Intelligence, or a directly related discipline, OR four (4) additional years of applied, practical experience in education, instructional design, or relevant analysis fields for nine (9) years of work experience.
  • One year of experience in instructional systems design within the last four years, including synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods and skills-based instruction for adults using web-based or distance learning technologies (e.g., Centra, Blackboard, Questionmark, SumTotal).
  • Russian  Native-level proficiency and minimum ILR proficiency level 4 in reading, listening, and speaking in the target language, with minimum ILR proficiency level 2 in English reading, writing, speaking, and listening; OR native-level proficiency in English and minimum ILR proficiency level 2+ in reading and listening in Russian. Proficiency levels must be documented within the last five years.
  • Five years of experience, including three years of SIGINT or Intelligence Community experience as a language analyst and one year of applied practical experience within the last six years in developing, documenting, or updating basic, intermediate, or advanced language training materials following ISD principles.
Salary Range:
$75,000 - $78,000

Job Summary

The Marketplace Facilitated Enroller (MFE) is responsible for identifying prospective members that do not have health insurance and assisting with the enrollment process ultimately making it easier for them to connect to the care they need. The MFE conducts interviews and screens potentially eligible recipients for enrollment into Government Programs such as Medicaid/Medicaid Managed Care, Child Health Plus and Essential Plan. Additionally, the MFE will assist in enrollment into Qualified Health Plans. The MFE must offer all plans and all products. MFEs assist families with their applications, provides assistance with completing the application, gathers the necessary documentation, and assists in selection of the appropriate health plan. The Enroller provides information on managed care programs and how to access care. The MFE is responsible for processing paperwork completely and accurately, including follow up visit documentation and other necessary reports. The MFE is also responsible for assisting current members with recertification with their plan. MFEs must source, develop and maintain professional, congenial relationships with local community agencies as well as county and state agency personnel who refer potentially eligible recipients.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment goals and growth targets, as established by management.

  • Interview, screen and assist potentially eligible recipients with the enrollment process into Medicaid/Medicaid Managed Care, Child Health Plus the Essential Plan and Qualified Health Plans for Molina and other plans who operate in our service area

  • Meet with consumers at various sites throughout the communities

  • Provide education and support to individuals who are navigating a complex system by assisting consumers with the application process, explaining requirements and necessary documentation

  • Identify and educate potential members on all aspects of the plan including answering questions regarding plan's features and benefits and walking client through the required disclosures

  • Educate members on their options to make premium payments, including due dates

  • Assist clients with choosing a plan and primary care physician

  • Submit all completed applications, adhering to submission deadline dates as imposed by NYSOH and Molina enrollment guidelines and requirements

  • Responsible for identifying and assisting current members who are due to re-certify their healthcare coverage by completing the annual recertification application including adding on additional eligible family members

  • Respond to inquiries from prospective members and members within the marketing guidelines

  • Must adhere to all NYSOH rules and regulations as applicable for MFE functions

  • Outreach Projects

  • Participate in events and community outreach projects to other agencies as assigned by Management for a minimum of 8 hours per week

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with external business partners such as hospital and provider

  • organizations, city agencies and community-based organizations where enrollment activities are conducted

  • Develop and strengthen relations to generate new opportunities

  • Attend external meetings as required

  • Attend community health fairs and events as required

  • Occasional weekend or evening availability for special events.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education

HS Diploma

Required Experience

  • Minimum one year of experience working with State and Federal Health Insurance programs and populations

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, time management skills and ability to work independently

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • A positive attitude with ability to adapt to change

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid NYS drivers' license with no restrictions

  • Knowledge of Managed Care insurance plans

  • Ability to work with a diverse population, including different ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, and/or underserved communities

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
