Reporting to the Director, Sales Planning - the Sales Planning Analyst is primarily responsible for identifying and tracking sales volumes, trade spend, and 4P efficiency opportunities across the Business Unit's brand portfolio. The Sales Planning Analyst works collaboratively with the Revenue Growth Management Team and Field Sales Analysts to ensure customer promotion plans align with the brand trade strategy, pricing/promotional guardrails and brand spending is managed within approved budgets. The Sales Planning Analyst utilizes AFS, T-Pro, Nielsen and Numerator to routinely conduct post-promotion analysis and provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Sales Planning lead. The Sales Planning Analyst may support the Sales Planning lead for other activities such sales forecasting, new item launch execution, slotting fund management and ad hoc tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize all available data and tools daily to effectively fulfill job duties. Examples include AFS, T-Pro, Nielsen and Numerator.
  • Monitor trade spending versus budget by Customer for all brands within the BU portfolio.
  • Work with Revenue Growth Management and the Sales Teams to execute on key efficiency and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Support Sales Planning lead for new item execution tracking and reporting including slotting.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, supply, and demand planning, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective retail execution.
  • Support Sales Planning lead in the consensus forecasting process to include providing AFS data inputs and attending select meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to identify opportunities and optimize go-to-market strategies.
  • Constantly strive to identify and synthesize insights and translate into actionable recommendations for channel, customer and brand.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and data pulls that may be requested by the Sales Planning lead.
Experience, Skills, Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 1-2 years relevant sales experience required, specific Trade Planning / Trade Spend Management experience highly desirable.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel: intermediate / advanced skills required), along with general systems aptitude.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills. Highly detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with trade marketing programs and Retail promotion planning, 4Ps.
  • Understanding of retail channel dynamics and consumer behavior.
  • Nielsen/IRI syndicated data experience preferred.
Compensation:

Base Pay Range:
$58,575.00 - $97,625.00

Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.

**Description**
As the Manager, Demand & Sales Planning, you will be responsible for overseeing SKU-level demand planning and financial estimate planning across multiple brands and categories for the Amazon business across our brands on the platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, advocate for the brand and platform needs effectively, and contribute to the day-to-day management and reporting of operational metrics. You will work closely with the Retailer Supply Chain & Operations team and the cross-functional partners (internally and externally) to ensure timely and accurate execution of inventory planning, order management, and fulfillment activities for the Amazon account.
+ Lead and execute high-fidelity SKU-level demand planning activities to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory optimization for multiple brands and categories.
+ Develop and manage financial estimates for brands and categories within the ecommerce account, aligning with business objectives and financial targets.
+ Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners including brand managers, regional teams, and functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales) to ensure alignment on supply chain strategies and operational plans.
+ Effectively advocate for your ecommerce account, engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive consensus and successful outcomes.
+ Support in the day-to-day management and reporting of operational metrics, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain operations and identifying areas for improvement.
+ Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs within the supply chain operations.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
+ 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on ecommerce, retail, or consumer goods industries.
+ Proven experience in SKU-level demand planning, financial estimate planning, and operational metrics management.
+ Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and influence stakeholders.
+ Experience in advocating for specific accounts or brands within a corporate environment is preferred.
+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
+ Experience with Data Analytics, PowerBI/Looker is a plus.
+ Knowledge of supply chain planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDA is a plus.

**Pay Range:**
The anticipated base salary range for this position is **$85,000.00** **to** **$139,600.00** **.** Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.

Responsibilities The Manager, Sales Planning (SP) will support our Pet business and Customer Development Organization. The Manager, SP acts as a sales strategist to their respective Sales VPs and provides the entire customer selling teams with analytics, trade planning, and trade systems support to advance PCBs strategies. The Manager, SP actively participates in the design of promotional programs and coordinates their implementation cross-functionally. The Manager, SP will provide support across channels and is located in Lakeville, MN. Key Accountabilities Take accountability and ownership for results, demonstrate an understanding of our consumers & customers, and actively prioritize. Collaborate with customer selling teams to effectively integrate customer data and insights to optimize PCB's trade and brand strategies for Pet. Work with account team to deliver accurate brand planning and trade spending information in our trade planning system. Collaborate in the design of promotional programs/plans and coordinate their implementation with customer selling teams. Consolidate and share insights regarding sales, promotion effectiveness, and merchandising results across internal stakeholders. Develop tools to continuously improve communication across the enterprise. Proactively facilitate, create, and share best practices that move the needle. Provide management with planning reports and analysis as necessary. Support development of joint business plans & quarterly business reviews by providing key information and collaboration on presentation materials with customer selling teams. Identify opportunities to drive sales volume via distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing through data analytics from syndicated data. Proactively seek out and present solutions to business opportunities. Working Location: Hybrid This role is located at the Lakeville, MN Corporate office Typical hybrid schedule includes 3 days in-office with remote flexibility up to 2 days a week. #LI-hybrid Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in sales, account management, trade funding, category management, or other relevant experience. Experience working with Retailers in a Sales, Account Management, Trade Marketing or Sales Planning capacity highly preferred Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and provide support as needed. Capable of building working relationships that influence at all levels. Keen judgment and problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-changing work environment. Successful demonstration of analytical skills using various data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, CPM, sales data.) Effective written and presentation skills with an aptitude to simplify complex subject matter. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Tableau, etc. The pay range for this position is $84,367.53 - $134,988.05 per year.

We are currently seeking applicants for the role of Director of Sales Planning . Based in our Minneapolis office and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Sales, this role leads our “inside” sales team and is responsible for driving attainment of sales objectives by managing the planning, forecasting and category reporting functions within our sales organization. This role has two direct reports, Sr Manager, Sales Operations and Manager, Category & Insights. This role involves providing strategic guidance to the leadership team and departmental leaders, as well as in-depth cross-functional collaboration with team members across the company.

This role will serve as a critical conduit between sales, product development, operations, finance, and marketing, and will lead cross functional coordination between these groups to ensure best in class execution of our retail strategies.

Primary responsibilities :

  • Organizational Leadership: Be the sales expert/leader for critical internal processes such as forecasting and the monthly S&OP, product/package launches, etc., successfully representing sales requirements
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Growth Plan with cross functional partners, gaining internal & external alignment on objectives and strategies. Track, measure, and communicate progress against objectives monthly
  • Communication: Using a retail and consumer-facing 'lens', act as the liaison between the sales team and other internal departments to ensure optimal communication and drive profitable sales growth for Duke Cannon across all channels of business
  • Data Driven Insights: Provide detailed analytical reporting to guide company and customer growth using syndicated data (IRI), Numerator and customer POS reporting systems
  • Channel Development: Proactively seek out and identify ideas to drive the business at retail; work with internal partners to develop consumer-facing, executable retail programs for all outlets
  • Sales Support: Lead the creation of the annual customer facing retail sales story for Duke Cannon. Help prepare for, and attend, retailer calls in support of sell-in opportunities with sales team members.
  • Product Launch Coordination: Manage product launch timeline and details with product development team, develop selling tools for new product launches, consistent communication with sales team

Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry including both Sales and Sales Planning.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the desire to make and advocate for improvements
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to pull together various data points into a recommendation or conclusion
  • Thrives in the grey, ability to triangulate data and insights to carve a path forward without all the information
  • Experience in creating sales enablers (presentations, data driven analyses, etc.) and performance dashboards
  • Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to build a position while bringing others along
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of financial modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Comfortable in an ever-changing environment and willing to go beyond the status quo

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, or a related field
