What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking to fill the positions of Civil Engineer primarily focused on large data center campus design. Position could be located in Knoxville, Nashville, Gwinnett, or Atlanta offices.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Design complex campus underground utility, grading, and drainage infrastructure for Mission Critical/data center clients, including the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, and permits

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
• Analysts will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.

Qualifications

• An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026 in one of the following majors:
  • Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering

Leidos is seeking a Civil Engineering Specialist to be a crucial part of our National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA). In this role, you will contribute to the design engineering, cost estimating, scheduling, coordinating, inspecting, and reporting on project progress to ensure we meet our goals and schedules.

As a member of our team, your work will directly impact air traffic control facilities across the ESA region. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of designs, the quality of the products, and the timely completion of projects.

Location: This is an in-office position located in College Park, GA, with up to 25% travel required.

Your Responsibilities:

• Plan and design a range of facility projects, including buildings, roofing, antenna towers, structural systems, seismic reinforcement, and environmental assessments.
• Conduct on-site surveys to inform your designs and create detailed reports.
• Analyze existing facilities and utilize cutting-edge software for design and analysis.
• Generate sketches that depict proposed work in relation to existing or new facilities.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate construction activities to hit milestones and deadlines, collaborating closely with stakeholders and contractors.
• Work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve design and implementation challenges.
• Prepare construction drawings, site-specific specifications, and contract documents, along with independent cost estimates.
• Review contractor design and construction submissions thoroughly.
• Engage in project management activities, including the development of safety plans, risk management plans, and cutover plans.
• Participate in on-site coordination meetings and inspections to ensure project quality.
• Keep team members and stakeholders informed with periodic project updates.
• Respond promptly to requests for information and project-related submissions.
• Deliver monthly and semi-annual work status reports to keep track of progress.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently to ensure successful completion on time.
• Perform internal design reviews of various projects to maintain high standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Four years of relevant experience in the design and construction of commercial or institutional facilities, or a Master's degree plus two years' relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of current building codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with engineering analysis and design software tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AutoCAD for project drawing creation and editing.
• A solid understanding of the National Airspace System components within an air route traffic control center (ARTCC).
• Registered Professional Engineer in good standing in the United States.
