As an Application Developer, you will collaborate with a team of developers in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications. These applications are vital to the success of the organization and add value to our client’s experience. You will develop applications while promoting MMA (Marsh & McLennan Agency) technology standards, process, and procedures of the software development life cycle. This individual will apply logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to design and create best in class applications.

Been a strong contributor to a development team.
Designs, codes, tests, and debugs new and existing applications using current coding standards and best practices.
Assist with development initiatives that create complex projects that lead to high quality products.
Works with lead developers to develop project user stories, backlog, and sprints.
Be an integral part of an innovative and passionate team working on user stories, backlog, and sprints. Completing sprints on time.
Escalates problems as appropriate.
Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
Develop reusable code to decrease time to market, create uniformity of code, increase scalability, and build more agile applications
Create and develop applications with a security first mindset.
In-Depth experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, Angular, C#, .NET, and other languages.
Experience with C#, .NET, Java/TypeScript languages, and other languages
Experience with REST API design and implementation.
Experience in leveraging continuous integration and robust build/test automation, with a preference for cross platform stacks and containerization (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory).

**HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT**
+ Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
+ Assists with all phases of the software development lifecycle
+ Assists with analyzing user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
+ Assists with creating a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
+ Performs software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging
+ Assists with the documentation of software or system for future maintenance and updates
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:**
+ Required Experience: BA/BS degree and 2+ years of related Linux experience (additional years can be considered in lieu of degree)
+ History of developing applications and troubleshooting issues within the code
+ Writing in **C, C++** along with development of scripts.
+ Compiling code using GCC and Make file systems
+ Required Technical Skills: **C, C++** , **Linux** , System/Software Design, GitLab and Java
+ Required Skills and Abilities: Application Development, Software Development, Problem Solving, understanding network communication
+ US Citizenship Required
+ Comp TIA Sec+ - Required within 6 months of hire
+ Active secret clearance OR previously held secret clearance preferred, must have ability to obtain interim clearance
+ This is a 10 hour day-4 day work week

The likely salary range for this position is $75,067 - $83,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
