Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems using Python, ensuring exceptional performance and reliability.
  • Architect and create robust APIs, microservices, and data pipelines that serve various applications.
  • Collaborate with business partners and other engineering teams to define technical requirements and innovate solutions.
  • Drive technical excellence by promoting clean code practices, test-driven development, and continuous integration/deployment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and offer technical guidance that supports their growth.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for performance optimization and operational excellence in our cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies in cloud computing, Python, and AI to advocate for their adoption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system stability.

What We Look For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior position at a large technology firm.
  • Deep expertise in Python with a strong track record of production-grade applications.
  • Extensive cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) with knowledge of serverless computing, containerization, databases, and messaging queues.
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers, creating a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles including design patterns and secure coding.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical challenges effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in AI and Machine Learning frameworks, especially in deploying production models in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies.

Compensation:

This position comes with a competitive salary range based on current national data. Individual pay is influenced by skills and experience. You must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card holder to apply. Minimum pay ranges from $129,639 to $172,852 in various states, and compensation may be higher in other states.
