Software Application Lead should have senior level and subject matter expertise in data management, implementation, and storage for enterprise level federal agencies. Will be responsible for evaluating, assessing, and documenting current application systems, data management and architecture of clients. Will evaluate and provide solutions moving forward that integrate industry best practices, technical updates, cloud services, and enabling capabilities to meet the long-term operational objectives of the client.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Experience in Electronic Health Record system design, including application programming on large-scale Database Management Systems (DBMS) within InterSystems platforms like HealthShare, IRIS, and IRIS for Health, and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices in data architecture and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the federal client's data capabilities.

Data Architect Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 10 years in data architecture design and implementation, preferably in a federal or government contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated Experience in migrating legacy data storage to modern cloud-based solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing optimized data architecture for multiple integrations enhancing usability, storage and recall.
  • Demonstrated experience with large scale data migration or modernization on either AWS or Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing data storage solutions for common enterprise applications such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, GIS, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data integration patterns, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks, standards, and tools, such as DAMA-DMBOK and Collibra.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security and privacy principles, standards, and regulations, including FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or TOGAF are a plus.
  • Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Database Architect, Data Modeler, or Data Engineer.
