Job Summary:
The Warehouse Cable Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, labeling, and organizing network and structured cabling components in a warehouse setting. This role supports show operations by ensuring all cabling materials are prepared and meet quality standards before deployment.
Position Details:
Type :1099 Position with a chance to behired onas a W-2 employee after90 daysbased on performance.
Location :Nashville, TN
Interviews :Onsite interviews by invite only.
Seasonal : June- October (Could be extended based offperformance) Must be available for weekend work twice a month
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, tag and repair cables for power, audio, video, DMX, fiber, data, ethernet etc.
- Repair faulty cables, connectors, or routing issues that have been identified during show setup and performance.
- Label, test, and track all cables using proper documentation systems or digital tools.
- Conduct regular inspections and assist in preventive maintenance of cables
- Maintain organized inventory of cabling materials and components
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Maintain cleanliness and order of the cable prep and assembly area
- Track completed work and report production metrics as required
Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience in cabling, electronics assembly, or warehouse operations (preferred)
- Strong understanding of signal flow for audio, video, lighting, and networked systems.
- Familiarity with cable types includingDMX, Cat5/6, PowerCON, fiber optics, andmulti-pinpower cables
- Basic soldering and cable repair skills.
- Ability to use hand tools, cable testers, and labeling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills (for inventory or work order tracking)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Experience with digital audio systems (Dante, MADI), video switchers, or lighting networks (Art-Net/sACN).
- Prior experience as a cable tech or stagehand in a touring or live event environment
- Knowledge of Neutrik cable assemblies a plus

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the highly skilled, discipline specific, technical operations of Special Effects (SFX) within Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU). Completes installations, routine maintenance and repairs as assigned to ensure show quality and positive guest experience. Ensures safety of self, guests, and other Team Members by taking proper safety precautions, following both state and company specific standards. Provides installations assistance for any set changes/special events, ensuring proper installation from a safety and design perspective.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Serves as key SFX Technician for Universal Horror Unleashed. Installs, operates, and maintains lighting equipment as designed. Ensures safe operation of SFX equipment per UDX and manufactures specifications. Completes routine maintenance on all lighting equipment to ensure safety standards and proper daily operation.
+ Responsible to assist with the operation of the show/house SFX equipment and special events within UHU including but not limited to the operation of equipment/elements in a live show situation. Communicate/resolve technical problems with Entertainment management. Uses troubleshooting and taking of direction for completion of team objectives in assembly of gear and checking equipment.
+ Assists with daily maintenance of UHU in order to ensure all Technical equipment is operational and functioning properly. Assists in implementing show quality and performance standards as defined by Entertainment and Technical Management. Assists with creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
+ Facilitates and troubleshoots with accountability for completion of team objectives from Leads/Supervisor. Expected to accomplish tasks as directed from Leads/Supervisor that supports the team mission with little supervision after direction is given.
+ Responsible for effectively communicating necessary information, pertaining to the technical operation of UHU to both upper management and affected Team Members. Completes necessary reporting through the proper systems including Maximo to ensure effective communication between shifts as well as with Technical Management and Technical Coordinators.
+ Maintains a basic working knowledge of electrical theory and calculation, staying up to date with industry standards, tools, technologies to find more efficient ways to operate. Completes all state and company mandated training and maintains any required license renewals.
+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Full-Time Position
We are looking for our next Head of Department (HOD), Lighting, Special Effects, Projections & Audio to lead the departments team at Auana, reporting to the shows Technical Director. The main objective of this role is to lead the team through operations, maintenance and other necessary special projects. While this HOD leads multiple disciplines, it is especially important for them to have advanced knowledge with Lighting systems, networking, programming, etc.
This opportunity is perfect for those passionate about bringing the show to life through technology. The role is critical in ensuring the safe and consistent maintenance of all systems and networks that support the production. This position will oversee theater power and UPS systems, the lighting and dimming system, audio system, consoles, as well as conventional, automated equipment and projection systems and equipment. This show contains lasers, pyro, special effects and performer tracking systems. They will oversee all activities for installation, operation, troubleshooting and repair of systems and equipment. With a live band as part of the performance, the role is vital in ensuring all communication systems are fully functional to support a seamless show operations.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a team player mindset, effective communication and will be flexible. Should be comfortable and able to critically thinking and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- In collaboration with the Technical Director and Production Department Manager, manage the shows department during performances, Artist training, rehearsals and maintenance;
- Complete various HR/administrative tasks for the department, such as, but not limited to, payroll, scheduling, onboarding, hiring, disciplinary actions, etc.;
- Work in close collaboration with the Band Leader, Band, Coaches and Act Captains;
- Champion all networks affecting show operations;
- Work with Technical Director and Production Department Manager on all budgets and forecasting of departmental needs, including inventory;
- Ensure all departmental-related documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Work with Department Manager to set the strategy and standards for proper documentation and train team on best practices;
- Inspect and maintain equipment, stage and backstage areas;
- Learn, program and run show tracks to ensure the safe and continued operation of the show, as needed;
- Coordinate, determine and oversee support for special projects, including the research, purchasing, construction and installation of new show elements, and other projects that include departmental elements or other needs that may fall within the departments specialty, as directed; Maintain flexible schedule for such projects;
- Ensure team has a thorough knowledge of all departments equipment specific to the production to operate equipment safely. Work with the Production Department Manager, Technical Director and Artistic team to establish and maintain training and backup plans to ensure continuity of performance operations of the department, as necessary;
- Assist other departments when necessary for cross-departmental support; Communicate with teams when needed;
- Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training;
- Contribute to a safe and positive working environment at all times by adhering to and following all Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group standards, values, policies and regulations pertaining to safety using equipment and established working methods;
- Ensure all Health and Safety training records are current and recorded properly, also assist in crew schedule to allow for training as required by the Technical Director;
- Complete all other job-related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least five years of previous experience in a similar position on large scale productions;
- At least three years of previous leadership;
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and AutoCAD;
- Strong understanding of networking, timecode and media servers;
- Knowledge and experience working with lasers, pyro or other special effects;
- Knowledge and experience with large venue projectors, video servers, hardware and software applications related to projection systems; Christie projectors is an asset;
- Knowledge and experience with performer tracking systems such as Albion or Blacktrax;
- Comprehension of basic principles of: AC/DC electricity; Basic electronics; Computer operations, as it pertains to lighting systems;
- Avid sound console experience is an asset;
- Proficient inoperating and repairing audio gear, including LCS, audio console mixing, RF, video, and communications systems;
- Previous experience in LCS Cue Station programming;
- Knowledge of wireless microphone systems and automated systems;Electronics training and audio equipment repair skills is an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage personnel, work in a team environment and work under pressure;
- Professional appearance and demeanor;
- Ability to obtain OSHA 30 course completion card;
- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays;
- High School Diploma and or GED required;
