Job Summary
Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop strong relationships with the business to help source and identify the best talent in a timely manner. Essential Functions:
- Partners with leadership to identify staffing needs (sourcing strategy, job specifications, sourcing, interviewing, candidate closing and negotiations, etc.).
- Manage the entire life cycle of the recruiting process with minimal management guidance.
- Develop recruitment strategies to attract talented applicants through a consultative approach.
- Employs proactive sourcing solutions using multiple avenues, including but not limited to direct sourcing, employee referrals, industry networking, targeted advertising, college programs, and social media.
- Review and assess applicants based on their qualifications and their alignment with our current openings.
- Schedules interviews for candidates
- Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization.
- Interview qualified candidates to identify the best talent for our current openings, along with future talent pipelines.
- Build and execute a recruiting plan that focuses on attracting a diverse candidate pool.
- Job posting optimization where needed to attract candidates.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to drive an efficient recruitment process and sound hiring decisions.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
- Participate in developing and implementing outreach strategies which include community and/or campus recruiting activities such as in-person and/or virtual presentations, career fairs, mock interviews, and resume review workshops with the goal to attract top talent.
- Performs background and reference checks, including education verification, criminal, employment, and professional.
- Conduct onboarding for new hires including orientation, paperwork, and welcome announcements.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
- 3+ years professional talent acquisition experience. (Preferred skilled trades/manufacturing recruiting experience)
- Advanced sourcing skills
- Demonstrated ability to form meaningful partnerships (internal/external) at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, flexibility, adapt to changing requirements/deadlines/situations.
- Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate automobile insurance.
- Experience with cultivating and growing external partnerships is highly preferred.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
