At Invenco, our Database team plays a critical role in powering the backbone of our SaaS applications by managing a robust and sophisticated database environment hosted on AWS. This environment includes Oracle Enterprise running on EC2 instances and Amazon Aurora MySQL on RDS. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of database health, stability, and availability to ensure seamless, uninterrupted service for our customers. By leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies and best practices, our team drives innovation and reliability in support of Invenco’s mission to deliver exceptional software solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
-
Upgrade and patch Oracle databases using various techniques for minimal downtime.
-
Document and maintain operational procedures and standards for business critical databases.
-
Manage the operational aspects of Cloud-based and on-prem databases, including security, auditing, backup and recovery.
-
Design and implement automated deployment tools and processes.
-
Maintain and support development, test and production databases for user access, table changes, performance and troubleshooting.
-
Monitor database performance and ensure database availability.
-
Test and implement new database features for general use.
-
Automate and test backup and recovery solutions for highly available databases across multiple technologies.
-
Help design and evaluate major changes to standards and procedures related to database technology direction changes.
-
Participate in on-call support.
-
Production outage window is typically 9pm CT, must be available to work during times of production upgrades.
ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE:
-
Minimum of 6 years of experience as an Oracle production DBA in a SaaS environment.
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS RDS and MySQL preferred.
-
Knowledge of the fueling industry is preferred.
