What are we looking for?

The Environmental Staff Scientist is responsible for supporting the Environmental department in all services including Phase I/II ESA's, asbestos & lead-based paint surveys, indoor air quality assessments, soil/groundwater sampling and more. This person will complete fieldwork as well as work on technical reports and proposals. This position could travel 25% of the time depending on project load/location.

Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (may vary)

What you'll do:

• Support the department on all environmental services including Phase I/II ESAs, asbestos & lead-based paint surveys, indoor air quality assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, and/or field observation documentation.
• Assist in the development of work scope, report preparation, client and subcontractor coordination, and assessment of proper response actions.
• Author technical reports and proposals.
• Provide support planning, monitoring, and controlling project budgets and building solid relationships with clients and team members.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
• 4 years of proven technical environmental consulting experience
• Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Building Inspector Certification
• Demonstrated Experience in Phase I ESAs
• Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organization, as well as time and budget management skills
• Must be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to one's discipline
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

The IMCU is a 22-bed unit with an average census of 16 patients. This unit cares for cardiac patients, strokes, head and neck reconstruction, kidney transplants, thoracotomy and home vents.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.

Qualifications:

Education:

As required by licensure. BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.

Experience:

One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.

Acute care experience required; strong telemetry skills, cardiac and stroke experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

**Detailed Description**
+ Engage with account and site facility teams to develop plans for liquid cooled rack integration
+ Research capital equipment specs and engage with suppliers to evaluate product offerings against the technical requirements of a project or site.

+ Engage with site teams and local contractors to install systems that meet corporate standards
