Responsibilities
Steward multi-disciplinary storage management policy standardization across public/private cloud and on-premises
Gathering requirements from business stakeholders, senior leadership and engineering organizations for data lifecycle management
Strategic long-term planning
Conduct quarterly stakeholder reviews covering storage capacity planning, projecting future needs and socializing the optimized use of technologies
Ensure timely Storage Utilization reports to stakeholders
Budgetary/Fiscal planning regarding Total Cost of Ownership, Capital Purchasing and Maintenance Contracts
Provide technical leadership, analysis and top-notch diagrams and documentation for consumption by executives and engineers
Identify & evangelize new technologies, patterns, solutions, and best practices
Managing vendors, describing Disney business objectives, shaping product roadmaps and correcting engineer and support issues
Lead and collaborate with internal and peer engineers to ensure solutions are designed to be cloud-native (when applicable), scalable, and easily operated
Develop and evangelize testing methodologies for establishing baselines/benchmarks and troubleshooting processes
Ensure security best practice is at the forefront is embedded in our DNA of all your design

- Author tools, and leverage open source, to automate tasks

Job Overview:

Job Description:
The HPE Storage Senior Director of Program Management role is responsible and accountable for leading the Storage Program Management Office in the planning, tracking, and driving of various programs from Pre-Concept through to Launch. This leadership role will work directly with executives and team members across various functions of the value chain. This includes overseeing engagement and management of all aspects of programs including communication, status reporting, schedule definition and management of issues and risks.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading program management responsible for highly complex new product introduction programs utilizing standard Program Management tools while implementing best practices across each phase of the program.
- Driving multiple in-flight programs with a sense of urgency, removing barriers and maintaining a clear and well-defined path to completion.
- Overseeing all programs with rigor and operational excellence, highlighting interdependencies and creating connection points across functions to create high-quality programs that deliver high-quality products.
- Partnering with Product Management to understand the market, customer requirements, product area/roadmap, roadmap dependencies & targeted technical needs.
- Communicating program changes and updates proactively and effectively - verbally and in writing, while working to create simple messaging for complex topics. Providing clear, timely and objective communication.

Education and Experience Required:

- 5+ years of experience in product or program management leadership roles within the storage industry
