We're looking for a dynamic Store Manager & Service Writer to lead day-to-day operations at our retail location while also serving as a key customer-facing service advisor. This hybrid role combines team leadership, inventory management, and shop scheduling with hands-on support for sales and customer service. Ideal candidates will bring proven leadership experience, a strong sales background, and solid knowledge of off-road vehicles. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and support team members across retail, warehouse, and customer service roles
- Greet and assist customers in-person and over the phone regarding product recommendations and service needs
- Coordinate and schedule vehicle builds and shop work with technicians
- Create and manage work orders, track status updates, and communicate progress to customers
- Monitor product displays and maintain cleanliness and visual merchandising standards
- Train and mentor staff; manage timecards, schedules, and basic administrative tasks
- Recommend or implement strategies to improve customer service, workflow, and sales
- Stay current on product knowledge, vendor updates, and industry trends
- Resolve customer complaints, process returns, and follow through on service issues
- Maintain safety and compliance standards in accordance with company policy
- Responsible for overseeing daily store staff, scheduling, and employee development
- Participates in hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of experience in retail or shop operations, preferably in the automotive/off-road industry
- Sales or service writing experience required
- Strong knowledge of off-road vehicles and aftermarket parts preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What you will do

- Manage incoming calls, e-mails and faxes for service issues, pricing, warranties, commercial, dispatch, repair, cash, wholesale and same-day reschedules/cancellations.
- Ensure efficient operations by confirming and completing work order information, including insurance verification, additional parts and missing information.
- Breeze through administrative tasks such as buyouts, invoices, work orders, managing deleted work orders and processing credit memos and rebills.
- Review orders from the contact center and manage dealer part orders and special accounts.
- Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands on) with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders.
- Repair chips, cracks and other auto glass related issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation and customer communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Promote and sell Safelite promotional itemsto customers.
