Job Description
+ Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and assigned suppliers to ensure supplier performance meets business requirements. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned key strategic suppliers.
+ Implement and oversee governance functions for the F&A service providers, as per contractual commitments and to ensure high quality of service delivery.
+ Deploy, communicate and facilitate effective management of the operational aspects of assigned sourcing agreements.
+ Conduct periodic customer satisfaction surveys. Analyze and present the findings to stakeholders to increase the effectiveness of the services provided.
+ Develop and manage a balanced scorecard to gauge supplier service performance, relationship quality and business alignment on an ongoing basis. Collaborate with supplier to automate these performance dashboards for self-service and regular engagement.
+ Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and key service performance metrics (CSLs, KPIs, etc).
+ Collaborate with Purchasing on the bidding and contracting processes for new contracts and renewals for relevant F&A services.
+ Oversee management of change orders, coordinate implementation of such change orders with key stakeholders.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for managing risk and compliance as part of contractual governance and service delivery requirements.
+ Act as the central point of contact for all user access provision requirements, company asset management, and the like for suppliers.
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Purchasing, Finance, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
+ 5-7 years in procurement, supplier management, or shared services.
+ Proven success managing strategic supplier relationships and driving performance improvements.
+ Strong experience in complex contract management for strategic services, and cross-functional project leadership skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to influence stakeholders and suppliers.
+ Advanced analytical skills with a structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
+ Experience with ERP systems (SAP, QAD), procurement tools, and data analytics.

This Individual will serve as the Indirect Supplier Relationship Manager for fleet, travel, and professional service categories. Under the leadership of the Sr. Indirect Commodity Manager, this individual will own the preferred supplier relationships for the assigned supplier group within the Fleet, Travel, and Professional services categories and support the overall strategy formulation and execution that will drive significant impact to the organization.
This position reports to the Sr. Indirect Commodity Manager and is part of the Global Integrated Supply Chain team located in Port Washington, NY, and will be an onsite role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Cost & Working Capital Improvement (30%): Project funnel ideation and execution of YoY Indirect Cost Savings, own Strategic Sourcing visual management, drive working capital improvements via payment terms improvements and transitions to preferred suppliers with favorable terms. Champion the application of DBS via using tools such as VMDM, Cost Saving Funnel Workshops, Supply Base Management, Kaizens, etc. to deliver set targets
+ Category Management (20%): Support the development & implementation/execution of the category strategies across indirect spend to optimize value and drive total cost down for the regions/functions. Evaluate existing supplier base, to establish current state. Once established, define future state / "best in class" supply chain / supplier design requirements.
+ Supplier Relationship Management (30%): identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments and performance measurement, attend supplier meetings/visits, maintain strong relationships with key suppliers via SBR's, collaborate with the cross-functional teams, negotiate LTA's/MSA's and manage contract administration
+ Internal Customer Relationship Management (20%): Builds effective relationships and successfully partners across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies, and colleagues to drive results and lead and influence change.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
+ 3+ years of experience in procurement or category management, with a focus on indirect sourcing.
+ In-depth understanding of indirect procurement categories, sourcing strategies, pricing models, and supplier ecosystems-particularly within professional services and corporate functions.
+ Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, cost reduction initiatives, and enhancing supplier performance and value delivery.
+ Strong financial and business insight with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders at all levels, and drive strategic change across global and organizational boundaries.

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

**_GOALS:_**

+ Work with Clinical Partner Outsourcing (CPO) team to ensure execution of studies is in line with commercial constructs and operational performance targets.
+ Assess partner services to ensure alignment with Takeda's current and future needs, ensuring capabilities conform to organizational requirements and strategies.
+ Leveraging best practices, provide direction to optimize the success, value and efficiency of the Takeda-supplier relationship.

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with **anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range** and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. $174,500.00 - $274,230.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained , certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. Goals- Lead the overall relationship for driving operational and commercial excellence with assigned suppliers/categories supporting global development operations.
- Drive partnership governance, cost optimization and continuous improvement between Takeda and supplier(s).
- Identify, assess and implement opportunities to enhance Takedas ability to effectively work externally and be a partner of Choice.
- Promote and implement innovation initiatives within the relationship and across the category.
- Enable predictable delivery of portfolio, through cross-functional collaboration, proactive risk and issue management and utilizing data-driven analytics.
- Lead and facilitate the supplier governance framework, including chairing governance meetings and maintaining critical oversight tools (e.g performance metrics, scorecards, risk registers).
- Manage operational performance improvements by conducting thorough root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and driving process standardization and change management activities.
- Work with Clinical Partner Outsourcing (CPO) team to ensure execution of studies is in line with commercial constructs and operational performance targets.
- Assess partner services to ensure alignment with Takedas current and future needs, ensuring capabilities conform to organizational requirements and strategies.
- Leverage best practices, provide direction to optimize the success, value and efficiency of the Takeda-supplier relationship.
- Effectively manage open and/or escalated issues to timely and effective resolution.
- Work closely with Procurement, Therapeutic Areas, Business Partners, CPO and Study teams to review and drive sourcing strategies and to define and implement commercial constructs supporting business requirements.
- Ensure supplier innovation and continuous improvement initiatives align with business objectives and sourcing strategies.
- Act as a role model and coach for Takeda functions involved in day-to-day management of the supplier, driving a partnership mindset and culture.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable internal policies and procedures, regulations; support inspection readiness of all regulated activities.
- BS/BA required; advanced technical degree preferred.
- 10 or more years of applicable drug development operations experience, global experience preferred.
- Experienced and knowledgeable across key clinical operational functions (e.g., project management, clinical monitoring, data management process, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, etc.) to enable meaningful dialogue within Takeda and with partners.
- Proven experience in Alliance/Partnership excellence with a deep understanding of building, maintaining, and closing partnerships including tools/methods.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, developing corrective actions, and driving process improvement.
- Highly skilled in leveraging data insights for decision-making and process optimization.
- Strong financial management, negotiation and conflict resolution, and team building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience leading categories such as CRO, central and specialty labs, functional service providers, clinical technologies.
