This is a Hybrid Remote position - minimum of 2 onsite work days per week required
This position provides system-wide leadership (both acute and non-acute) to drive supply chain cost reduction across the system, ensuring the achievement of the Supply Chain Strategic Initiative goals. It directs and leads the overall strategy, development, and implementation of clinical cost improvement plans for assigned service lines. The role involves leading multi-disciplinary teams, including physician value analysis teams, to reduce product use variation and costs through developing consensus supply utilization programs and initiatives. Responsibilities include clinical and operational financial performance improvements in areas such as Perioperative Services, Cardiology, Cardiac Cath/EP Lab, Womens and Infant Services, Interventional Radiology, and other procedural areas.
Responsibilities Leadership- Provides system-wide clinical leadership and consultation in the utilization of supplies, products, and equipment for assigned service lines.
- Leads multi-disciplinary teams, including physician value analysis teams, to decrease product use variation and costs through consensus supply utilization programs and initiatives.
- Communicates with risk management regarding product recalls and FDA alerts, acting as a resource for medical staff, legal, and hospital departments as needed.
- Promotes positive relationships with system leadership, employees, physicians, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Performs clinical assessments of new products and equipment to evaluate efficacy and cost/benefit, gathering product information and introducing targeted new products to the supply chain team.
- Supports product validation and evaluation processes, facilitating final recommendations by various clinical and operational teams.
- Assists in procurement and vendor relationships to achieve quality and cost-effective solutions, coordinating education and validation activities.
- Assists in reviewing and renewing GPO and local supply contracts to enhance standardization and utilization.
- Supports negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
- Reports safety incidents promptly, attends safety training, and monitors work environments for safety issues.
- Ensures compliance with regulations and maintains necessary certifications/licenses.
- Completes mandatory training and maintains professional knowledge through ongoing education.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in nursing, business, or related field preferred.
Certification & Licensure: Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in relevant areas such as Medical/Surgical, OR, Cath lab, Respiratory, or Pediatrics.
Proficiency in computer use and basic software is required due to technology integration in healthcare.
