Senior Manager, Warehouse Operations

Summary:

The Senior Manager, Warehouse Operations is responsible for the overall management of all Seattle site's GMP warehouses, its warehouse managers and their teams. This role is a key member of the US Supply Chain and works in harmony with a cross-functional site team.

The incumbent will ensure the successful daily operations of all Seattle Site's warehouses and manage its full operations including but not limited to inventory management and assessments, raw material dispensing and kitting, API and sample movements, manufacturing support, receiving, shipping, internal deliveries, create and maintain operational procedures, and key performance reporting while keeping a GMP mindset and adhering to compliance, safety and quality.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact and responsible for all Seattle warehouse operations.
  • Lead the site's inventory management program; and ensure accurate inventory controls, adherence to inventory metrics, KPI's and the timely execution of daily cycle counts, biannual reconciliations and annual full physical counts on all controlled materials.
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer service for all internal and external customers. Ensure shipping occurs timely, accurately and in a fashion that maintains client expectations.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to Seattle warehouses including material audits (internal and external), client-facing activities and walkthroughs.
  • Work in partnership with Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and to resolve quality and supply chain issues associated with incoming GMP raw materials and interpret results.
  • Ensure the safe, accurate and timely receipt and storage of all inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Ability to understand and see how the parts connect to the whole operation and respond cross-functionally to meet production goals, quality standards and company values.
  • Direct warehouse personnel to meet position responsibilities and oversee the development of associates.
  • Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and material handling equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures to comply with legal and company requirements.
  • Recommend and develop plans and strategies for continuous improvement. Drives for results, and follows up to ensure ongoing performance standards and positive results are maintained.
  • Conduct investigations related to materials management issues and implement corrective and preventative action plans to address deficient areas identified and to ensure adherence to compliance.
  • Ensure Materials Control environment operates compliant with all health and safety standards, fire codes, materials handling standards, hazmat handling standards, as well as OSHA standards. Ensures department meets all expectations relative to training, and compliance centric measurable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems, Kanban, min/max, and storage management.

Education/Experience:

  • Trainer for Inventory system management and forklift certification (preferred)

Compensation: $108,080 - $148,610

**Role Summary**
The Director, Supply Chain Management (SCM), IT sets the long-term strategy and oversees the financial performance of all sourcing, contracting, and asset management activities for the IT & E-Commerce categories in Supply Chain Management for Alaska Air Group. As a people leader, this role establishes strategic goals and direction for a team to lead the organization and staff in developing and implementing sourcing management strategies and provide deep category and industry expertise to develop staff, drive strategic initiatives, and impact change across all levels of the organization. **Key Duties**
+ Establishes strategic goals to execute the sourcing process for all major IT & E-Commerce projects, including project assessment, strategy development, supplier evaluation / selection, and negotiation of terms to meet quality, cost and performance targets.
+ Drive the relationship between Supply Chain and the IT & E-Commerce Executive leadership team and be responsible for internal customer engagement with the sourcing process.

The Supply Chain Analyst for TDRC will have responsibility across all airplane programs. This position will work primarily with internal job roles. Amazon's Global Supply Chain (GSC) team is seeking a leader to join as a Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Supply Chain Innovation. This role is at the forefront of shaping Amazon's future inbound supply chain designs and strategies, ensuring a synchronized view of inventory flow, transportation, storage and fulfillment network, and the capacity and capabilities designed to facilitate them all. This is a high impact role with an opportunity to influence one of the most high visibility and high impact areas.
As Sr. Supply Chain Manager, you will lead a team to establish and drive a large-scale, multi-year roadmap of the distribution center convergence work stream. Your expertise will be instrumental in large network transformations, planning and review mechanisms to ensure roadmap and strategy alignments across organizations, define metrics, and use data to manage trade-off decisions. Additionally, you will play a key role in influencing the future of storage and distribution center building designs, topology, technical capabilities, and fulfillment capabilities. Working within our innovative Supply Chain Innovation (SCI) team, you'll be part of a group that identifies, evaluates, and leads transformative initiatives to improve end-to-end cost, speed, and network resiliency.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead strategic discussions of Distribution Center convergence work stream with long-term impacts to Amazon's various business units.
- Develop Network design tenets, vision, and roadmap for implementation.
- Build mechanisms to consolidate and inspect inbound metrics; provide new insights to senior leadership to improve their understanding of inbound
- Partner with stakeholders from Supply Chain, Product, Operations, BI, and Finance to evaluate new initiatives; evolve the process into a highly automated and structured approach
- Conduct independent research to identify supply chain inefficiencies, recommend solves, and influence partner teams to prioritize and execute
- Participate in leadership discussions on inbound vision and strategy; influence organizational-level decisions and align roadmaps to deliver the vision

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- The ideal candidate is someone with a track record of driving strategic initiatives, large scale network design transformation, creating repeatable and scalable mechanisms, delivering results under tight timelines, and communicating well both verbally and in writing.
