Summary:
As a SWAT Project Technician you will ensure proper assistance is given to the Project Managers/Branch Managers and crews on large, complex projects throughout the company. Duties are assigned by the supervisor on site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Communicate marketplace opportunities, status of competition, and new product opportunities to local and regional management.
+ Coordinate to ensure Rain for Rent offers and delivers a consistent, well-organized, on time and under budget bypass pump projects.
+ Perform job in a manner by representing the Company honestly and fairly with regard to maintaining good public relations with all customers, competitors, and vendors.
+ Coordinate and communicate with branch personnel regarding product needs, availability, delivery, and project specifications.
+ Promote cooperation and communication with all Rain for Rent personnel.
+ Comply with all Company policy and procedures.
+ Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or EHS.
+ Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Depending on the project this position may have supervisory responsibilities. This position will be required to provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks. This position will be required to supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, and appraisal of personnel.Depending on the size of the project this position will have non-supervisory employees who report directly to this job.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The Law Enforcement Officer patrols assigned area(s) on campus to ensure the personal safety of the university populace to include students, faculty, and staff, while providing protection and security to university facilities.
Responsibilities:
+ Provides safety and security presence for university property by application of conscientious vehicle, golf cart and foot patrol functions on a rotating shift basis.
+ Responds and investigates crimes reported, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, fires, safety hazards, fire and security alarms received and all other occurrences within the scope of the department's responsibilities and mission. Prepares departmental, county and state forms as required.
+ Enforces applicable University policies, Parking and Transportation services regulations, State Criminal Code and Statutes governing state traffic laws. Issues appropriate citations, student referrals and/or effects arrests as necessary in the performance of these law enforcement duties.
+ Renders informational services to members of the University community and visitors, assists motorists experiencing vehicle problems, provides security escort service, and handles traffic control and parking directions for a variety of educational, cultural and athletic events held on campus.
+ Conducts security and safety checks of university buildings, student housing and university grounds. Secures and opens buildings at scheduled times and upon request of authorized persons. Provides a university crime prevention function during security rounds by advising department of unsafe or unsecured conditions observed.

Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking two Law Enforcement Captains - Boca Raton, FL.
The Law Enforcement Captain is responsible for the operations of the FAU Police Department and must meet the requirements as set forth in Chapter 943 Florida State Statutes. The Law Enforcement Captain commands the road patrol division in directing the law enforcement and public safety activities at FAU.
Responsibilities:
+ Ensures the Police Department is prepared to handle all types of emergencies and/or disasters.
+ Recognizes an armed offender and possesses the knowledge to prevent such violence by proper threat assessments and training.
+ Analyzes situations accurately, makes effective decisions/judgments under pressure and during emergency situations, and takes appropriate action.
+ Coordinates the department's involvement in special events held on all campuses.
+ Act as Incident Commander during critical emergency situations.
+ Possess the ability to develop strategic plans for the Police department that are consistent with the University's strategic plans.
+ Ensure that the department adheres to a community-oriented policing strategy that supports the department's mission with an emphasis on a positive/proactive approach that facilitates the overall mission of the University.
+ Lead, direct, supervise, motivate, and inspire others; evaluate and measure the performance of people, teams, and organizations; and assess performance and progress.
+ Builds morale and enhance the abilities of those supervised.
+ Supervise sworn and non-sworn personnel.
+ Resolve operational problems and situations as they occur. Initiate and support innovation and ideas with creativity, flexibility, responsiveness, and focus.
+ Possess comprehensive knowledge of and apply current Law Enforcement methods, policies, procedures, rules, regulations, laws, criminal investigative practices, techniques and procedures, modern community policing, and problem-solving philosophies; and make sound recommendations based on findings of investigations.
+ Effectively communicates information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the campus community, the surrounding communities, and the public.
+ Initiates, establishes, and fosters communication and teamwork through a positive, cooperative, productive work atmosphere in and outside the University.
+ Maintains dignity and self-control in managing a broad range of high-level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
+ Communicate with members of the University community for the purposes of improving Police service and improving department community communications.
+ Represent the department in various community activities and make public presentations to groups. Direct the Investigative division to work actively with other agencies to track crime trends and spikes outside the University.
+ Improves operations, decreases turnaround times, streamlines work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service.
