PALFINGER is seeking a hands-on Talent Development Expert to lead employee development across our North American region. In this role, you'll design and deliver programs that support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, focused on growth, performance, and career progression. Success requires both strategic vision and practical execution, ideally within a manufacturing environment and collaborating globally while driving results locally.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and implement core talent practices in North America, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, coaching, and leadership assessments.
- Design and execute learning and development initiatives aligned with business needs and employee growth, collaborating with global and regional teams.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to identify skill gaps, deliver targeted development solutions, and co-lead the North American apprentice training center in coordination with Austrian counterparts.
- Drive the implementation of global employee engagement efforts, support talent technology projects, and localize global programs for leadership development, high-potential growth, and cultural integration.
- Deliver engaging training sessions, manage learning vendors and platforms, support e-learning, and evaluate program effectiveness using feedback and business impact data.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field required; Master's degree or certifications (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-CP/SCP) are a plus.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in talent development or learning and development, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Skilled in instructional design with a track record of developing effective training programs or managing vendor-led learning solutions.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and project management skills, with the ability to balance strategic program design and hands-on execution.
- Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization with cross-functional collaboration.
