Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for an Tax Accountant Position type: Contract Duration: 6+ Months Location: Remote As an Tax Accountant, you will: Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for assigned companies. Research tax issues as required and make recommendations to management. Process tax payments with multiple taxing jurisdictions to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Prepare general ledger reconciliations for assigned accruals and submit reconciliations to management for review. Support the sales tax audit process by running reports in multiple accounting and invoicing programs including: IBM AS400, PeopleSoft and Vertex and presenting results to management; conduct research on tax issues as they arise on audit and discuss research findings with management; request information and review responses from other departments, vendors and customers and discuss responses with management. Process tax payments with multiple taxing jurisdictions to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Renew and apply for business licenses and sales tax licenses. Obtain thorough knowledge of internal sales tax and business license processes. Work with taxing authorities to respond to notices and rectify any compliance issues in a timely manner. Support multiple department projects, as needed. Skills: Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree and 2 years of related experience Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. Strong problem solving and organization skills with critical attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with solid Excel skills. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Previous sales tax experience. Knowledge of AS400, PeopleSoft, Workday, and Vertex software is preferred. Tax Accountant - 3 Days in Office
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to support tax compliance, consulting, and planning for a complex organizational structure with both domestic and international operations. This role involves preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance accuracy, analyzing transaction data, and collaborating with tax managers on various initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage compliance for sales tax, VAT, income, and franchise tax, including accounting, research, and strategic planning.
Prepare corporate tax filings and ensure accurate reporting of all relevant transactions.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting in coordination with finance and compliance teams.
Review corporate agreements to assess VAT implications and compliance requirements.
Conduct research on tax regulations and legal requirements affecting federal tax planning initiatives.
Respond to internal tax inquiries and provide guidance to various departments.
Maintain an updated tax calendar to track reporting deadlines and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company's Princeton, NJ location.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $104,200 - $150,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton, NJ. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
