What You Will Be Doing
  • Ensure quality service during operation.
  • Supervise the kitchen staff and communicate with front of the house management team.
  • Prepares a variety of food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Cooks all food items in accordance with the Company's policies.
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of food served.
  • Knows and consistently follows standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations.
  • Assists others in closing the kitchen.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate for this Position
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • 2+ years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen or equivalent education/certification preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 8 consecutive hours.
  • Must have strong time management and culinary skills.
  • Will be required to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays.

Description:

The Lead Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of tasks and responsibilities within the Corporate Accounting function. Working closely with the Manager, Accounting, this position will provide leadership and support to the Corporate Accounting team members. Additionally, the Lead Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of financial data in compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Close Management: Execute processes and procedures to meet monthly financial statement close deadlines, including the review and preparation of journal entries. Provide guidance and support to staff as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Account Reconciliations: Conduct thorough reviews of monthly account reconciliations, providing guidance to staff as needed to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analyses, investigating and explaining significant discrepancies by leveraging accounting systems and collaborating with finance team members.
  • Task Management: Initiate and engage in routine and non-routine tasks as requested by management, including ad-hoc requests, process improvements, and ongoing projects to support financial initiatives.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Demonstrate leadership and influence without formal authority, providing guidance and leading accounting discussions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate and communicate with other departments and cross-functional teams to resolve financial-related issues.
  • Process Improvement: Strategize and propose enhancements to financial processes and systems to maximize efficiency and accuracy.


Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting
•Licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
•5+ years in corporate accounting
•Public accounting experience preferred
•Industry experience at complex and multi-national publicly-traded companies preferred
•Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP
•Experience with SOX compliance
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
•Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills
