INPATIENT ADULT PSYCHIATRIST - Madera, California
River Vista Behavioral Health is the San Joaquin Valley area's newest behavioral health facility. The facility provides a full continuum of inpatient services, including units to serve children and adolescents. Specialty programs for adults with co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. In addition, the facility offers robust outpatient programs to address the most prevalent behavioral health concerns, including child, adolescent, and family counseling, and treatment for depression, anxiety disorders, and other common behavioral health issues.
We are seeking an additional adult psychiatrist to join our growing team!
DETAILS:
- PRN position with the possibility of expanding to full-time in the future, if desired
- Responsible for initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership, and daily care of assigned adult patients.
- Average 15 total patient encounters per day.
- Caseload consists of ages 18 and older.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- MD/DO degree from an accredited program (required).
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry (required).
- Licensed to practice in the State of CA or the ability to obtain a CA medical license.
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.

**Job Details:**
+ Area: Mental Health STRT Class: LCSW Shift: 1 Start: 07:00:00 End: 17:00:00
**Job Duties:**
+ Periodically serves as clinician-of-the-day by being available for on-call during scheduled workdays for patient emergencies
+ Conducts initial mental health evaluations to assess patient's current needs and make treatment recommendations in the initial evaluation
+ Conducts clinically sound risk evaluations including clinical review, applying risk assessment protocols, pertinent data/chart reviews, proper documentation and consultations as needed
+ Meets with mentally ill patients for crisis intervention, group psychotherapy and face-to-face interviews, etc.
+ Identifies the relevant signs and symptoms of psychiatric disorders in order to comprehensively assess, diagnose and manage the presenting symptoms
+ Writes clinical reports regarding diagnoses and prognoses and develops treatment plans that reflect the standard of practice
+ Additional job description details can be provided and assigned by Supervisor.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ (1) year of working experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
+ Up to date Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in the state of **CA**
+ Valid CPR card issued by the American Heart Association
