Utilizing said logs to provide families an opportunity to continue clinically recommended lengths of stay. The Financial Counselor will be a bridge between our admissions and business office team. They will also work in concert with our UR team members. This role would also update internal metrics within Salesforce and Kipu. Responsibilities Prepare paperwork for new admits, RTC/ PHP/ IOP and or Continuing care/Aftercare patients. Track recurring payments for patients and provide invoice/receipts per transaction. Calendar and track all payments for follow-up including co-insurance, renewed authorized days, sessions and pt. responsibility. Track down declined credit cards for current and discharged patients. Review VOB and patient responsibility with new admits and answer financial inquiry regarding step down – board fee or co-insurance fees. Scan financial paperwork to KIPU/HER Provide appropriate paperwork to 4Front Rx Pharmacy. Ensure billing department remains informed about outstanding balance and update DBH billing dept. The Adult Military and Family Life Counselor (Adult-MFLC) position offers a unique opportunity to serve a vital role, in providing non-medical support, which includes counseling, consultation, and outreach, to service members, military family members and eligible staff. Non-medical counseling is preventive in nature and aims to address and provide solution focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges.
Service members, spouses and family members face unique emotional and environmental challenges due to the stress of military life. This is an opportunity for you to reach them where and when you are most needed.
Adult-MFLC responsibilities include:
+ Face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families (individuals, couples, and families).
+ Observe, participate, and engage in activities with service members, military spouses and families; provide coaching, guidance and support to installation staff; and model behavior management techniques for staff and military family members.
+ Offer presentations to service members, military families, and military leadership at military-connect events.
+ Promote creativity and positivity through approved materials.

Additional Job Duties May Include:

+ Travelling to locations outside of a military base in a variety of physical environments.
+ Due to the nature of working on military installations or related worksites, counselors may need to comply with various site-specific requirements to work at designated locations.
Environment:
At the direction of the Department of Defense, duties are performed in multiple indoor locations (approximately 60%) and outdoor locations (approximately 40%). The indoor locations are located within a child development center (CDC) controlled by the Department of Defense. The outdoor locations frequently involve traversing over uneven grassy, gravel, and/or dirt areas, ascending/descending stairs, and exposure to the weather. CDC settings frequently involve sitting on the floor to interact with children for up to 2 hours at a time.
Licensure Portability:
Great news! In accordance with the recent National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), licensed Military and Family Life Counselors may provide non-medical counseling services to military families at any location in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or a territory or possession of the United States, regardless of which state the counselor is licensed in. Within the scope of the MFLC program, a counselor may hold any independent and clinical license recognized by the Secretary of Defense as an appropriate license for the provision of non-medical counseling services.
Minimum Requirements:
+ A Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
+ Licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in the US.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen.
+ Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance.

Job Summary:
Evolve Treatment Centers is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Residential Counselor to join our team at one of our 6-bed teen residential treatment centers!

This position involves providing supervision to up to 6 six adolescents who are in residential treatment for 30-60 days for issues related to mental health and substance abuse. Residential Counselors support clients in their daily activities and facilitate groups with our clients. This position is challenging yet rewarding as our staff have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of teens and their families. This is a great position for someone who may be interested in going back to school to pursue a degree in the mental health or social services field.

The ideal candidate is experienced, dedicated, and excited about working with teens with mental health and substance abuse issues. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to adjust to the ever-changing nature of residential treatment. Residential Counselors must be patient, resilient, reliable team players, and must know how to maintain appropriate boundaries.

As an RC you will be a critical health worker, and so could be exposed to COVID, or on occasion work with clients with COVID. Evolve follows all state and local requirements regarding PPE and has strict guidelines for a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support and supervision to clients struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues
  • Establish positive and nurturing relationships with the clients, within professional boundaries, in accordance with the policies and procedures
  • Maintain vigilance and awareness of the milieu while monitoring the behavior, activities, and safety of the clients
  • Engage in activities with the clients, such as, hikes, equine therapy, surf therapy, and fitness groups
  • Create a constructive therapeutic community in accordance with the Center's polices
  • Conduct and facilitate psycho-education groups and recreational activities
  • Perform crisis management and interventions as necessary
  • Demonstrate model behaviors
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all shift activities
  • Oversee and participate in meal-times and assist clients with life skills (i.e. laundry, dishes, and making bed)

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • All schedules require working at least 1 weekend shift

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with teens preferred
  • Experience working in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred

**Responsibilities**
**Schedule:**
Monday - Friday 0600-1600 - 8, 9 or 10 hour shifts depending on the departments needs.
No Holidays or Weekends!
**Job Specific Responsibilities and Tasks: Duties may include but are not limited to** :
**Core Duties:**
- Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
- Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
- Assist in rehabilitation of patients.
**Additional Duties** :
- Perform a full range of outpatient psychology services to include diagnostic examinations, the development of comprehensive treatment/diagnostic plans (when indicated), psychological testing, outpatient psychotherapeutic treatment for individuals and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults; stress/anger management, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, family separation issues, crisis intervention and consultation with medical staff on a routine basis.
- Work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies).
- Provide patient consultations requested by Naval Hospital staff health care providers within guidelines established by the Naval Hospital.
- Deliver records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided utilizing the Health Maintenance Strategies Manual (HMSI) standards.
- Perform clinical evaluations including administration and interpretation of psychological, neuropsychological, cognitive and personality tests, and provide clinical consultation regarding selection of psychological tests. May also be required to administer neuropsychological assessments and perform clinical evaluation and / or referral based on the neuropsychological assessment tool.
- Perform mental behavioral health evaluations and provide therapy. Apply and oversee the application of psychological procedures and techniques in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological and neuropsychological disorders. Perform individual and group therapy, behavior modification paradigms, biofeedback procedures, and hypnosis in treating psychological disorders, and in assisting individuals to achieve more effective personal in interpersonal adjustment.
- Apply psychological interventions in multiple medical clinics and settings to include Pain Clinic, Mental Health Department, and the Wounded Warrior Battalion.
- Serve as advisor and consultant to other staff in the specialized areas of clinical psychology to include comprehensive psychological evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Directly evaluate difficult and complex cases to determine appropriate placement in Inpatient/Outpatient care or referral to other agencies and to determine the appropriate types of individual/group interventions to be employed.
- Communicate the results of the evaluations and participate in therapy program development and consultation with all levels of staff.
- Provide professional assistance to the Substance and Alcohol rehabilitation Program (SARP) program, as requested.
- Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Combat Stress Disorders and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- Provide psychological assessment and treatment of individuals confined in the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Brig, as requested.
- Conduct clinical staff education when requested to enhance knowledge, understanding, and awareness of post- traumatic stress disorder, and treatment options for the management of post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and other combat related disorders.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications** :
- **Degree** : Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- **Education:** Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
- **Internship/Residency:** Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
- **Licensure** : Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
- **Experience:** As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions.
o Possess a minimum of two years postgraduate experience within the last 3 years as a Clinical Psychologist.
o Experience as a Clinical Psychologist that includes evaluation and treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and related mental health issues.
*** Security** : Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
*** Life Support Certification:** Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
  • Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
  • Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate
  • Plan outreach and referral activities in surrounding communities
Qualifications
  • Master's Level Degree or higher (Required) in related fields
  • Full, unencumbered LMFT, LCSW, LMFT or Psychologist license (license based on office location). Applicants without a valid, active license will not be considered. We are currently not hiring associate/intern level therapists.
  • 2+ years' experience with providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required
  • Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency
  • Ability to work as a team member and cooperatively
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Ability to guide, direct, or influence people
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and their families
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) Proficiency: Must have demonstrated experience in utilizing electronic health record systems efficiently to manage patient data, document clinical information, and access patient histories. Familiarity with NextGen is highly desirable.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer literacy with proficiency in a range of software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot common issues.

The a bove compensation represents our total yearly compensation.
