1. Work closely with the multilevel team at MIU to develop and coordinate a care plan to meet the student's needs at the university.
2. Triage walk-in patients, assess and evaluate for referral to appropriate health care providers for symptoms of illness not likely to be relieved within 24 hours.
3. Provides direct care for patients under standing orders for specifically defined visits or to monitor the ongoing care of a resting patient under the supervision of another clinician. This care includes first aid, administering blood sugar testing, UTI testing, taking blood pressure, and other vitals as requested by the doctor.
4. Works in a collaborative relationship with the multilevel staff at the Clinic to determine and meet the customer needs of patients, and the University community, documenting care given on SOAP notes.
5. Alert faculty if a student has a medical excuse for absence from class
6. For non-life-threatening emergencies, call Security at for transport, or life-threatening emergencies, call 911 for an ambulance.
7. Refer patients to mental health counselor (Clint Cunningham), JCHC, DDS, chiropractor, and other specialists as needed while documenting all incidents
8. Keep files in compliance with HIPAA requirements (or FERPA if no insurance claims are processed through the office)
9. Handle treatment of infectious illness as directed by doctors and other specialists involved in assessing public health needs.
10. Make house calls to students who have had recent surgery or are very ill to assess. Security can accompany.
11. Facilitate open, honest communication among all the team members, students, patients, and other university departments.
12. Participate in the Covid Taskforce to determine quarantine/isolation/testing protocol based on current cases on campus/ in US/ world.
13. Coordinate with external resources such as Des Moines Dept of Health and the Jefferson County Health Department to keep up to date on current health issues

• Educational Requirement: Minimum associate's degree in nursing required
• Certification Requirement: Current Basic Life Support

• Licensure requirements: Must hold and maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Iowa Board of Nursing , or possess a multistate license under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) allowing practice in Iowa.

The University Photographer captures the heart and mission of CCU through compelling visual storytelling. This role photographs people, events, and scenes that reflect CCU's excellence, community, and Christ-centered culture, producing content for print, digital, social and other media. As a key member of the Communications and Creative Services team, the ideal candidate requires creativity, technical skill, and collaboration across departments to elevate CCU's brand identity.

Job Location: Hybrid Remote - must reside and work legally in the U.S. Regular work location: Lakewood, Colorado. Must be on-site for all shoots as required. Editing and digital asset management to be done remotely.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities.
