The Vice President of Physician Sales is responsible for building, leading, and optimizing ATI's physician referral sales organization across the enterprise. This role drives physician engagement strategies that directly generate patient referrals into our physical therapy clinics nationwide. The leader will oversee a team of more than 60 business development managers and sales representatives across 20+ states, ensuring that the right talent, structure, and processes are in place to consistently meet clinic-level referral goals. This role is not only accountable for day-to-day sales execution but also for shaping the future of the physician referral channel through rigorous pilot programs and test-and-learn initiatives. The leader will design and refine the science of physician sales, including staffing models, sales rep competencies, call targeting strategies, engagement frequency, and messaging approaches. By combining disciplined execution with innovative experimentation, this position ensures that the organization can scale effectively while continually improving referral conversion, efficiency, and physician satisfaction. **Responsibilities**
Team Leadership & Talent Development
* Lead and inspire a national team of 60+ physician sales professionals. Ensure the right talent is in place by recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing sales leaders and representatives. Establish a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational discipline
Pilot Programs & Sales Model Innovation
* Design and implement structured test-and-learn pilots to optimize the physician sales channel. Evaluate and refine staffing models, sales rep skill sets, physician call targeting, frequency of visits, and engagement methods. Scale successful pilots across the organization to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Operational Execution & Accountability
* Build and enforce a disciplined sales operating rhythm with KPIs, pipeline reviews, incentive program, and market performance tracking. Drive consistency in execution across 20+ states while allowing flexibility for market-specific needs. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Marketing to ensure alignment and impact.
Market & Referral Budget Management
* Own referral volume forecasting and budgeting at the clinic level, working closely with Finance and Operations. Develop deep understanding of local market dynamics, physician referral patterns, and competitive positioning.
Internal Alignment and Partnership
* Develop effective partnerships with key business leaders and functions, specifically in Operations, Marketing, Real Estate, Finance, Payor Relations, HR and IT to establish and develop a strong and collaborative partnership to ensure continued success in Referral Sales

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This role is to join an organization as a franchisee and incorporate your own business. This requires an upfront investment in the form of a franchise fee. You will operate within a territory in Texas and be supported by the existing TX Master Franchisor and the UK HQ team. You will be delivering Sales Geek's multiple products and services, from fractional sales leadership, training and sales leadership mentoring to the businesses small to large in your market.We are seeking the most highly talented and successful leaders to become a 'Geek'. We only accept the top sales professionals who can demonstrate their historical skills and capability as a sales leader.
Why is that so important? Hiring a Sales leader is a big deal for any company, particularly for small or medium-sized businesses, it is critical that they get it right. A Sales Director/VP’s salary can be prohibitive to those businesses, particularly if they want the absolute best sales leader with significant experience and a great track record of growth; Usually, the most talented sales professionals end up in large corporate organizations, typically being paid a salary beyond the reach of most businesses. We solve that problem by offering all the talent at a fraction of the cost through our fractional/part-time sales leadership service. The work you will do will transform your client’s business.
Using our flexible – ‘consume what you need’ – model, you will act as their VP of Sales / Sales Director. You will have access to all the Geeks in the US and across the globe, as well as, our HQ team who will support you in various disciplines, from people training to e-Commerce, Marketing, Strategy, Process and Business Development, and beyond.

+ Defines the short and long-term roadmap for WESCO's strategic sales and transformation strategy.
+ Brings to market new products and brands, while expanding reach within the global accounts.
+ Manages to a top line growth, including planning and forecasting, while driving growth and profitability expansion for the owned solution categories.
+ Establishes goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with this executive's Strategic Business Unit peers.
+ Develops and leads a team of Sales Leaders.
+ Calls on both existing and new customers to drive profitable growth.
+ Fosters and grows critical supplier and vendor relationships as they relate to Wesco growth goals and technology expansion, with a plan to help our supplier partners take market share and expand brand recognition.

+ Oversees pricing and marketing strategy development and execution.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
+ 12-15 years General Management experience running a P&L
+ 12-15 years experience of growing market share, managing price/volume mix, exploiting new revenue streams, and working with customers/intermediaries to drive sales
+ Business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and management of people and resources
+ Understands competitive landscape, market insights and effectively communicates across key internal and external stakeholders
+ 12-15 years experience in managing vendor relationships
+ Experience building and developing teams, fostering collaboration and cross-functional problem solving and providing clarity around roles and responsibilities
+ Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to exercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility
+ Highly collaborative; able to effectively interact at all levels across the organization
+ In-depth knowledge of distribution industry, related solutions, and products
+ Ability to travel 50-75% of the time
