Pay: $73,500 - $29,000 annually, depending on experience.
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

Warehouse Operations Manager
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the inventory management, receiving processes, and material handling operations within Castelions warehouses and production lines. This role is critical to ensuring inventory accuracy, timely receipt of materials, efficient storage, and effective movement of goods through the company. The manager will create and lead a team responsible for these operations and collaborate with cross-functional departments to maintain seamless and cost-effective supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control, logistics, and warehouse management with the ability to drive improvements and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, proper stock rotation, and timely replenishment. Implement cycle counts, annual audits, and inventory reconciliation procedures to maintain optimal inventory accuracy.
- Receiving Operations: Supervise the receiving process, ensuring timely and accurate unloading, inspection, and proper documentation of incoming shipments. Work closely with procurement and quality teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Material Handling: Lead the movement of inbound and outbound materials and material movement around the warehouse, ensuring items are properly stored, organized, and readily accessible for order fulfillment. Optimize the layout and storage strategies to improve efficiency and reduce handling time.
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and develop a team of inventory, receiving, and material handling associates. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance within the team.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve inventory and material handling processes to reduce costs, minimize errors, and increase productivity. Implement best practices and industry standards to streamline operations.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with procurement, production, and shipping departments to ensure that materials are available when needed and inventory levels align with production schedules and customer demands.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce adherence to all safety regulations and best practices, ensuring the safe operation of equipment and the handling of materials. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all areas of inventory management and material handling.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate and review key performance metrics (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, receiving efficiency, and material handling productivity. Provide regular reports and actionable insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, receiving errors, or material handling inefficiencies in a timely manner.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 5 years of experience in inventory management, receiving, material handling, or warehouse operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS) and ERP software.
- Valid OSHA Forklift Certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in warehouse safety.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- This role requires broad mechanical domain knowledge, including machined parts, composites, chemicals, avionics and their associated manufacturers and manufacturing methods.
- Innovative problem-solving approach using critical thinking, including utilization of learnings from an American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification, Six Sigma certification, or similar certifications and data analysis using Excel, SQL, or an advanced analytics software.

The Role
As the Senior Manager, Warehouse Operations for CookUnity Los Angeles, you will lead all aspects of warehouse operations at one of our most dynamic and high-volume facilities. You'll be responsible for both day-to-day operational excellence and the strategic development of systems and processes that drive scalability, efficiency, and food safety.
This role demands a strong leader who can own and optimize core functions such as receiving, inventory control, ingredient distribution, and order staging. You'll also serve as a critical cross-functional partner to teams across Culinary, Fulfillment, Procurement, and Technology to ensure materials and ingredients flow smoothly into production and finished goods move efficiently into last-mile distribution.
This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about building systems, developing people, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse and supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse operations at our Los Angeles facility, including receiving, storage, inventory management, ingredient picking, and outbound distribution.
- Manage a team of salaried and hourly associates and leaders (30+ direct and indirect reports)
- Serve as the WMS and ERP system lead for the LA site, ensuring alignment between software tools and operational workflows.
- Develop and execute warehouse layouts, racking strategies, and inventory zoning to maximize space and improve material flow.
- Lead a team of Supervisors and Associates, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance.
- Own KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order cycle time, spoilage, and labor utilization; develop and implement strategies to improve these metrics.
- Partner with Culinary and Fulfillment to align on ingredient readiness, finished goods hand-off, and quality standards.
- Manage warehouse labor planning and the site's operational budget; ensure labor productivity is continuously optimized.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies targeting material handling, storage optimization, and data accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols (e.g., HACCP), sanitation practices, and warehouse safety standards.
- Provide warehouse input into S&OP and site capacity planning processes.
- Travel occasionally (5-10%) to support company-wide initiatives and collaborate with peers at other CookUnity sites.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; or equivalent operational experience in fast-paced warehouse settings.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or supply chain operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success managing warehouse teams in food production, manufacturing, or high-volume fulfillment environments.
- Strong understanding of HACCP, warehouse safety protocols, and food handling requirements.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, and MRP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Infor) and the ability to lead system optimization or rollouts.
- Proven ability to manage site budgets, labor plans, and operational metrics.
- Skilled in continuous improvement practices and structured problem-solving.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred due to the makeup of our LA team.

What you will be doing
Lead associates in a specific shift/area while supervising warehouse operations to ensure functions are performed within
Company, Distribution Center and Union guidelines. Provide excellent customer service to stores serviced through
accurate handling of inbound and outbound product.
The position will be based in Brea, CA or Irvine, CA.
Main responsibilities
- Coach and engage hourly associates towards high productivity, safety, and quality performance
- Develop and demonstrate effective leadership skills and tactics during day to day operation
- Motivate associates through positive reinforcement and behavior
- Promote a safety culture by example, observation feedback and associate relations
- Coordinate with peer leaders to balance the workflow of the Distribution Center
- Walk the warehouse on a regular basis throughout the shift to ensure compliance on sanitation and quality expectations
- Maintain visibility to associates in support of the Company Open Door Policy
- Leverage technology systems to investigate operational issues
- Coordinate the weekly associate work schedule
- Maintain open and constant communication with the Transportation Department to facilitate inbound/outbound flow of product
- Coordinate with other cross functional departments (Inventory Control, Procurement, Building & Facilities

SKILLS:
- Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience to include lead person, foreman, or supervisory duties.
- Ability to supervise and work with and through others to achieve desired results.

- General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office, helpful.
- Ability to read and interpret computerized reports.
- Requires analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and

- Possess ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions in a fast paced work environment.
- Most work is performed under typical warehouse conditions.
- During part of the workday the incumbent may move about the Distribution Center including, the yard, garage and warehouse. Potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.
- Temperatures in the warehouse may vary between -20 to 70 degrees. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas.
- Incumbent may sit for periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
- Incumbent may stand or walk about the Distribution Center for periods of time.
- Incumbent will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of the workday.
- Must be flexible on work hours and shifts. Operations are 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including holidays.
