Job Description

Available Schedule: Monday through Friday 5:00 AM - 1:45 PM

Compensation: $18.00 -$19.00 per hour

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for daily customer order fulfillment activities within an assigned area(s) of our distribution facility. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for demonstrating safety and operational expertise within a quality and productivity driven environment. Will be required to proficiently perform at least one or more distribution-related activities (receiving, order filling, picking, shipping, packing, returns, replenishing, inventory, and value-added service) on a regular basis.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Safely load and unload freight from trucks and trailers

• Secure freight and remove excess equipment from trailers

• Attach and remove trailer identifiers, such as magnets and decals

• Collect and distribute paperwork to and from drivers

• Dock and move trailers through the yard as needed

• Clean freight and prepare trailers for use

• Identify and report any trailer damage for repairs

• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse in accordance with supervisor instructions

• Fulfill customer and supervisor orders promptly and accurately

• Manage warehouse inventory, including scanning, marking, and labeling freight and paperwork

• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must be able to manually lift up to 50 lbs

• Must be proficient in using email, networking programs (including Slack and Teams), and spreadsheets (including Airtable and Excel)

• Must be flexible with shift hours based on operational demands

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse operations accurately and efficiently. This position is frequently rotated and cross-trained through all warehouse functions as business needs dictate. We are hiring on two shifts: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm and 3pm-11pm. • Picking - Determining bins or shelves location and picking product with a hand-held radio frequency (RF) scanner, ensuring accuracy and quantity by scanning barcodes: Placing and/or packing product into cartons or onto a pallet to provide damage-free shipment.
• Receiving - Unloading trucks, using a forklift, pallet-jack, electric pallet-jack, or by hand; verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received; checking all shipments against packing lists and for damage; marking stock items using identification tags; storing items in an orderly and accessible manner; moving materials and items to designated bins or shelves.
• Shipping - Preparing preliminary shipping documenting weight, piece count and freight classification of all products, determining the method of shipping on appropriate carries; marking and labeling according to Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations; scheduling shipments.
• Will Call - Interacting with customers in person; completing accurate and prompt fulfillment of orders.
• General - Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations; determining proper storage methods; examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to manager.
