Aerotek is now hiring 2+ skilled welders and fitters!
The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, reading blueprints, building parts, and performing layouts. You will select equipment, plan part layouts, cut, fit, tack, and weld materials according to engineering production drawings.
**Description:**
+ MIG welding positions
+ Perform dual shield welding
+ Perform welds on large on large steel parts
+ Read and interpret blueprints
+ Perform fabrication building parts
+ Layout workpieces per drawings
+ Use measuring tools including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
+ Set- up, adjust, and use machines as needed to produce parts
+ Ability to select equipment and plan part layout
+ Cut, fit, tack, and weld out materials
+ Performed welds in multiple positions
+ Visually inspect welds
+ Grind out welds
+ 1st shift
**Qualifications:**
+ Previous MIG welding experience
+ Previous fabrication, lay-out, or fitting experience
+ Ability to read blueprints
**Experience Level:**
+ intermediate
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.

This position involves fabricating and welding components for different industries. You will be responsible for finding parts, performing your own layout and fitting, and executing welding tasks. The role requires the use of various tools such as saws, shear, punch press, and manual saw for cutting parts, as well as marking out and drilling holes. You will work with wire sizes mostly around .045 and be involved in making shoots, conveyors, channels, I-beams, and feeders.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform layout and fitting of parts independently.
+ Use saws, shear, punch press, and manual saw to cut parts as needed.
+ Mark out and drill holes accurately.
+ Read and interpret blueprints for building parts and performing layouts.
+ Select appropriate equipment and plan part layout, cutting, fitting, tacking, and welding according to engineering production drawings.
+ Layout workpieces per drawing without guidance, using standard fixtures.
+ Set up, adjust, and operate machines and equipment to produce quality parts.
+ Perform welding tasks without the use of fixtures, including both flat and out-of-position welds.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proven experience with welding, particularly MIG welding with large wire sizes and heavy materials.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including weld symbols.
+ Experience in fitting, assembling, and laying out parts per prints.
+ Proficiency in using tape measures, compasses, micrometers, mag levels, protractors, versa gauges, and calipers.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator.

+ Select equipment and plan part layout: cut, fit material, tack material, and weld out according to engineering production drawings.
+ Layout workpieces per drawing without guidance or using standard fixtures.
+ Read and use a tape measure, compass, micrometer, mag level, protractor, versa gauge, and caliper.
+ Weld without the use of fixtures.
+ Set up and adjust machines and equipment as needed to produce quality parts.
**MUST Haves**
+ At least 3 years of MIG welding experience.
+ Ability to weld without fixtures.
+ Experience in weld layout: cut, fit, and tack material according to prints.
