Overview
The Welder will operate TIG & MIG welding machines, including power up, cleaning and finish weld on various parts and maintaining cleanliness while working. The Welder is expected to meet productivity and quality requirements while performing welds according to specifications
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Responsibilities
- Work safely following all established policies and procedures
- Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking distortion, or expansion of materials
- Examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Must be able to read blueprints, welding process specifications and welding symbols
- Layouts, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers
- Report all non-conforming material to the supervisor
- Understand and perform to all quality regulations, standards and policies, including but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003. Follow work procedures and ensure highest level of quality
- Ensure assigned work is understood prior to commissioning
- Complete housekeeping and 5S duties in assigned areas or project area on a regular basis
- Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to the specifications
- Complete required paperwork relevant to job
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
- Reorders raw material for Kanban safety stocks
- Participates in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.)

Qualifications/Requirements

- Experience welding for pressurized devices ie tanks, valves
- Must possess experience in welding Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Monel, Hastalloy B & C
- Must possess a solid understanding of welding equipment and accessories
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications and welding symbols
- Must be able to operator manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using established processes
- Must have the ability to weld in all positions with good penetrations and quality.
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is continuously standing, repetitively grasping and repetitively using fine manipulation with the hands. The team member may be frequently required to walk, bend, squat, or twist as well as repetitively push or pull frequently up to 20 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds with assistance.
- This position is performed in a shop environment. May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, hot temperatures, chemicals and vapors.
- May occasionally be required to work in an office environment.
- The Welder will use welding equipment, hand and power tools and, measuring instruments, etc.

**THESE POSITIONS ARE BOTH FULL TIME TRAVEL POSITIONS WITH COMPETITIVE PAY, BENEFITS AND PERDIEM AND LOCAL POSITIONS**

Job Responsibilities for Experienced Millwrights, Welders, Fabricators:
- Follow instructions from supervisors and/or crew foremen while maintaining all safety standards
- Perform various physical duties assigned
- Move, secure, install, build, load and/or unload materials, tools and equipment
- Welding and fabrication for repairs and install of plant equipment, chutes and crushers
- Properly repair and install mechanical parts for equipment
- Read schematics and instruction manuals to make equipment repairs if needed
- Stick Weld and use Oxy/Act torches safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Clean/prepare job site
- Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties
- Properly, efficiently and safely apply types of oils and greases according to specification of equipment/job
Job Requirements Experienced Millwrights, Welders, Fabricators:
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to routinely climb stairs, ladders and/or platforms, bend and squat
- Ability to walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to consistently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
- Able to work any shifts, including overtime, weekends and holidays required.
- Ability to pass background and drug & alcohol testing required.
- MSHA Surface and Underground certifications a plus

**Job Description**
The TIG Welder is responsible for operating and setting up TIG welding equipment to weld parts according to specifications and standard operating procedures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate TIG welding equipment and fixtures, troubleshoot, and make necessary adjustments.
+ Assemble weldments using TIG welding equipment.
+ Perform secondary welding processes including polishing and grinding metal to achieve proper surfacing, weld cleaning, and sand blasting.
+ Handle and position piece parts with or without fixtures, and select proper Tungsten and temperature for each job.
+ Read and interpret blueprints including material gauge and tolerances.
+ Develop and maintain fixtures and shadowboxing.
+ Work with floor leaders to ensure quality control on piece parts and adhere to standard operating procedures.
+ Use measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.
+ Perform first and last article quality checks and inspect parts for accuracy.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1 to 4 or more years of experience in metal manufacturing as a TIG Welder.
+ 2 or more years of experience in fabricating.
+ Ability to differentiate colors, use basic hand tools, and use calipers and squares.
+ Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints and bills of materials.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school graduate or trade school education preferred.

**Work Environment**
The facility is large and divided into assembly/warehouse, lab settings for circuit board manufacturing, and fabrication areas. All areas are well-lit, clean, and organized, including the fabrication area.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.98 - $24.98/hr.

Position Summary
The Flash-Butt Welder is responsible for driving, operating, diagnosing, and maintaining a mobile electric flash-butt welding machine. Work includes driving a welding truck (CDL required) to and from work locations and setting the welding truck on the track.
Pay Range: $35 / hour
Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
+ Will perform Intrack Welding functions.
+ Capable of performing job duties in a safe and professional manner.
+ Self-directed individual with the ability to supervise and lead a small group.
+ Responsible to report customer and production status in a professional and timely manner.
+ No prior welding experience is required.
+ Must have the ability to read precision instruments and gauges with a background in heavy mechanical/electrical machines and equipment.
+ Perform QA inspections as required.
+ Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs.
+ Candidate will set up and perform weld operations including moving jack stands into place prior to making welds, cleaning and removing ballast rocks in the work area, vehicle maintenance, and cleaning, truck movement while on track from work site to work site, grinding welds as needed.
+ Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
+ Required Skills and Qualifications
+ A valid class A driver's license and satisfactory driving record
+ Must be 21 years or older?
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and customers.
+ Fill out and organize work reports
+ Must be able to travel 90% of time
+ Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to gain Class-A CDL with 90-day.
+ Ability to pass drug screening and background check. High School Diploma/GED required.

+ Works both indoors and outdoors
+ Travels to field locations to provide repairs or maintenance
+ Frequently performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and handling of materials, equipment, and tools
