- Essential Job Functions:
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
- Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs.
- Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity (including Computer Assisted Ordering).
- Check condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received.
- Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork.
- Ensure inventory management for all delivered product.
- Ensure all vendors follow company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
- Ensure maximum security of receiving area.
- Develop and train DSD Receiver back up.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Responsible for maintaining Electronic Store Invoice records.
- Responsible for daily cleaning and organization of the Backroom while ensuring there is sufficient room for receiving deliveries.
- Work with all Home Department associates to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient backroom.
- Process returns, recalls, reclamation.
- Complete Marketplace Home Audits as necessary and requested
- Assist in other tasks as identified by the Home and Store Management team
- Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

* Count, weigh, measure or examine packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications

* Ensures production area organization and cleanliness
